Badger!Badger! - A visual novel project

I find myself creating characters that I don't end up doing much, if anything, with after drawing them a few times. Time to change that up!​

Badger!Badger!, or just B!B!, is a project I'm starting to put together a visual novel about a handful of characters I've already thrown together. There're still more characters to create though, as well as the environments that will be involved. Environments aren't my strongest point, so hopefully this project will help me improve there too.​

The story focuses on Fionn, a shapeshifter and private investigator who solves cases tied to the supernatural, as he attempts to identify and capture the elusive criminal known as 'Badger'. As is the nature of most visual novels, there are several possible endings and the outcome will depend on choices made by the player as the plot progresses. ​

Will Badger be uncovered, or will the case end in failure?​

Nothing is set in stone yet, and a decent amount of research will have to be done into spirits and occultism ooohhh spoookyyy so I don't make any major screw ups. Plenty of practice with backgrounds and landscapes, too! The first update will likely show finished art of the main characters as well as a note on research. I doubt you guys want to read through the walls of text that result from my research sprees!​

If you guys have any constructive criticism or general opinions/suggestions along the way, I'd love to hear them! How long it'll take to get the VN itself finished is still a mystery, but I'll be sure to drop a demo link here when a decent amount is done.​
