Battle for Wesnoth

The Battle for Wesnoth is a free fantasy themed turned-based game. It's available for downloaded at http://www.wesnoth.org/ and is available for various OS. The game was created back in 2003 and has come a long way since then.

The thing I like most about the game is its versatility. I must say that it gets quite addictive after a while too, some battles may last hours. I've been playing the game for many years and decided to let you know about it. You are able play as many characters and races, ranging from the noble dwarves all the way to the sea-faring mermen! There are many campaigns available to play, each having various difficulties. You also have the option to play multiplayer. There are also various add-ons available in the game, which are accessible in the main menu.

The main aim of the game is to achieve objectives, which range from killing the enemy leader/s to moving your leader to a specified location. As you fight against enemies, you earn experience or XP. If you keep your unit alive and earn enough XP it will level up into a stronger leveled unit, with better perks and capabilities. I was able to take a few screenshots of the tutorial so that you're able to see the basics of the game. Playing the tutorial is advised for newcomers to the game.
