Do you guys like going to the beach? How often do you go? Do you like to sit and relax in the sun? Play in the sand with sports and sand castles? Do you like to surf or go diving in the water? Are you in area where you can fish at the beach, and do you? Do you like to get a tan? How easily do you burn? On the flip side of this, why don't you like the beach?

I don't live close to a beach at all, but I do love beaches a lot. Not so much for the swimming, since I have rarely "swim" in the ocean as, but I love the beaches themselves. Playing sports on the beach such as American football, 500, and even baseball with my family account for some of the best experiences that I've ever had in my life. I don't tan too easily, as I am naturally a little tan, so I never wear sunscreen when I go to the beach, but then again I always just wear whatever the heck I'm already wearing since I don't swim >_>. Although I love a lot of things about the beach, I also still hate it when i get sand in my shoes/socks/onmyfeet. It's inevitable, obviously, but I can't stand it and it's the one thing I don't like about the beach.

I live like an hour or 2 from the beach, but i usually go a lot in the summer. I love the beach, but swimming in it isnt always enjoyable mostly because the water is ALWAYS very cold where i live (Jersey shore). I love the sand though and pretty much everything else. I like relaxing in the sun and building sand castles and playing football. Diving and surfing are equally as fun but surfing so so easy to fail at so i like diving XD. Im at an area where your allowed too, but i dont. Im naturally tan and i never burn. The only reason i would not like the beach, is because the water is always cold.

The beach is only a 15 minute bike ride from my house going there during the summer is pretty much inevitable. I don't have a lot of friends who enjoy going to the beach anymore so maybe I'll be spared this year. I always found beach trips to be kinda boring because besides swimming and tanning there's not a whole lot to do if you're not 18 yet and swimming is only fun for about 10 minutes or so for me...

I used to live pretty close to the beach, like a 30 minute drive with traffic plus a seven minute walk from parking. I would go to the beach with at least half of my family plus optional inclusion of friends at least once per week in the summer, sometimes two or three times. I think while there I developed a resistance to sunburning and some kind of heat-resistant skin trait. Really, it was like playing Fallout or Skyrim. I leveled up to Age 11, got to select a perk, and chose Radiation Resistance or Heatproof. I need to be in the direct sun for like a full twelve hours and not have a base tan if I'm going to have any harm done, and I can generally take heat (including but not limited to hot asphalt and hot sand, extending even to scalding water) better than many people.

These days I don't get to go as often because of where I live, so it turns into a big ordeal when I do. Maybe I'm more mellow now than when I was younger, but I mostly prefer to soak up rays and listen to the ocean. It's that or go running/walking on the shore. The great thing about walking at the beach is it's hard to get lost: you find a landmark and keep track of your estimated distance, and it's easy to find your way back. You this direction for forty minutes? Turn around and walk back forty more and your landmark will be somewhere in sight, no need for a compass or street names.

    Ah, the beach.

I've been to the beach before a few times, and it's really not an experience I care to repeat. It's not that far away, but it's not nearby, which is good, as I like to be as far away from it as possible.

Firstly, it's usually in an area where the sun is shining brightly and there are very few clouds - which, combined with the temperature of the ground, makes it very warm, possibly even hot. For someone like me who prefers much colder temperatures, this is not something desirable. Beyond that, my stance on water is that I don't like it or being around it, unless I'm drinking it - which for obvious reasons you can't do with seawater, because that will kill you by dehydration. Having to thoroughly shower after the fact due to all the salt content in swimwear is irritating as well.

But all of that is just a front for the main reason I can't stand the beach:

To be honest, I don't even know how far my place is from the beach, mainly because we never go there (we never go anywhere). I guess the beach is kinda boring for me though because I'm not really interested in hours of swimming anymore and there's pretty much nothing to do there. I'm usually the one who drags her parents back to our temporary house while on vacation.

I'll be quite honest, when I was a kid I loved beaches and spent hours playing in the water and the sand, flailing around and building castles and looking for shells. Nowadays, it's more an annoyance than anything. I can't handle bright light too well, so just sitting in the sun isn't exactly an option and I don't exactly want a tan anyways. Swimming isn't nearly as much fun as it used to be. Unless I have someone to lay in the shade with and talk to, I don't enjoy beaches much.

Unless, of course, we're talking at night, in which case I could probably spend hours looking at the view because I'm a huge goddamn sap like that.

I think I may contrast to some people here. Australia is an island, and thus is surrounded by beaches, regardless of living close to the shore or not. In fact, learning how to swim is mandatory across all Australian schools! Anyway, I'm quite lucky I live not too far from the beach.

I love beaches! Another place where nature loves to treat us. I simply love the bright, hot sun. Light and I click together like salt and pepper. Being surrounded by water and fish, as well as shells and coral and species of native Australian animals is a bliss when I'm at the beach. The only thing I dislike about the beach is the amount of human activity that occurs there. Australia's beaches are often tarnished and left untidy due to uncaring and selfish beach travellers. It can become really crowded, and that is not in my favour.

About tans, I would never get one. I am happy with my own skin. Also, the Australian sun is so powerful, people receive enough Vitamin D in just three minutes of the whole day. Australia has the highest risk of skin cancer in the world, and we have to "Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide", which is slip on a t-shirt, slop on some sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide a pair of sunglasses.

I am far far far away from beach. In my country i live in northern part and beaches are in southern. If i really wanted to go for beach, i have to wait for the holidays to come and its not always that my plan will be executed by my parents. It will take 2-3 day trip by train and 1 day trip by flight. So, i rarely go to beach. I love beaches. I like playing in sand castles or beach volleyball cause i dont swim, i know how to swim but i dont. Well, beaches are awesome . I wish i could them often.

The beach is like an hour drive from where I live, but it's pretty fun. I hate getting tan though and the sand gets everywhere. I really like swimming and the sound of the beach is really relaxing. The waves are the most fun and you always see people with their really cute dogs playing. It's great.

I don't go to beaches often since I don't live especially close to any, but I do like to go. I like to look for shark teeth in the sand lmao. One of the more recent times I went to a a beach I made a sand turtle, ahaha.

I'm actually going to the beach for a week this saturday with family friends and a friend of my own. I'm super excited. :D
