Berry Fields

Yeah, I used them a couple of times, but not really for any serious purpose. One time, I filled the entire field with Oran Berries, so at the end, I had over 300 Oran Berries xD

 

I've used the periodically, but only when I plan on hanging around that genreal area already, I then alternate what berries I plant just to try to get hybrids.

 

I used mine to plant Status healing berries. Also, I sometimes used mine to see if I could make certain berries mutate.

 

I used them a lot for those berries that take away EV's and make your Pokémon happier in return, those are pretty usefull in multiple ways

 

I only use it for hybrids.

 

I plant every berry I can, even though I've already discovered every mutation. I use mulches for better results and invest in multiplying my amounts of super rare berries. It's pretty darn useful, especially since I now have about 300 lum, sitrus and leppa berries, not to mention all the rare ones. I'm set!

 

... I had forgot the berry fields were even there!!
as you can hear, I do use them, I just tend to forget all about them. orz

 

I haven't use the berry fields too much, but I like how in this game rather than having a couple berry plants on most routes all the berries are just in one place, and you have complete control on how many berries you want of what kind of berry. And you get to make your own fertilizer. So I never got too into it, but whenever I used the berry field, I found it useful and more convenient than the last games.

 

I used it only a couple times because I wanted more Oran berries. Kind of a life saver if you accidentally forgot to restock your potions, and with the berry fields you can get a lot of them for free basically.

I agree with what Agent Shade said about the berry fields in X and Y being way better than how the berries worked in the Gen 4 games. I definitely appreciate the fact that the few times I bother with planting berries that I don't have to look on every route just trying to remember which route I left the berries at.

 

These berry fields are pretty neat. In previous gens growing berries was almost discouraged, you'd have to find a really good spot close to a flyable place with lots of patches, or have them spread out throughout the map. When I was way younger I'd bike through the whole mainland Hoenn just to grow berries.
That said, I'm a bit of a hoarder, so that's probably why I bothered at all. A lot of berries are pretty useful and I never really buy stuff at the Pokémarts so it's neat to have them around. Besides, a Sitrus, Lum or Starf berry are the best "I dunno what to give this 'mon" items for regular gameplay.

I wish they had added a few more uses to berries though. Maybe making poképuffs? They do have a flavour system. Then again, they'll be useful in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire to make Pokéblocks. And that's actually going to be pretty cool, considering you'll probably be able to do them through wi-fi and stuff.

Went on a bit of a tangent there. Yes, I use the berry fields. They are neat. It'd be cool if there were some spread around the map just for kicks.

 

I use berry fields a lot for lum berries since they're so useful. Currently I have about 300 lum berries in my bag.

 

I used it primarily for Lum and Sitrus Berries; however, given how I didn't waste my Pokémon's PP and could just use MooMoo Milk and other better restorative items to restore their HP, there was pretty much no point to me using them |D;; Only other thing I used them for was to get the mutations, but that's about it.

 

I loved using the berry fields when I'm breeding since I usually take a while to breed, or if I'm wonder trade-wrecking(I'll sit in the berry fields as I do it) and I'll make some really rare berries, like enigma, starf, lansat, kee, etc.

 

I kept forgetting we had a berry field in this game. I would keep passing by them and being like "oh crap I forgot my berries!" The berry field was an adorable feature. It reminded me of Harvest Moon and Rune Factory.

 

I love the berry farms. I look out upon my fields and observe the ocean of sitrus berries blooming, and I know that I've probably wasted space where I could have grown something else.

 

I honestly haven't touched the fields in months, but I did use them quite a bit to get some extra berries when I first started out! I should try to see if I can get any more berries from them.

 

I did like the Berry fields in the game, but the only times I seriously used it were in a Pokémon Center restricted Wedlocke, which sadly I ended up terminating before even making it through Victory Road.

But I may have did a bit of berry blending in my main game and got one of the EV-reducing berries, I don't remember though. It wasn't very slow at all and I have to say it's a helpful feature.

 

I never used them. I don't have the patience to grow berries, and when I plant them I'd probably forget them so I'd have to wait even longer, haha.
