Ok so I know a ton of you guys have been playing Pokémon X & Y. Now I'm curious to see what you all find is the best feature to this generation's games, and which ones you dislike and think could be changed in the future.

Keep spoiler info in tags so you don't give anything away to people unless they want to read it themselves.

    For me...

Best: I love the fact that now the Exp. Share can be turned on to effect every Pokémon in your party.

I also really enjoy the Boutiques and customizing your character. A lot of the clothing choices are quite nice. Plus of course, the Mega Evolutions...need I say more.

Dislikes: To me the game seemed a but sloppy. Maybe it's because there were only around 60 new Pokémon actually created for Gen 6. Also the fact everything seemed to be handed to you throughout the game. Like the Exp. Share after the 1st gym, plus the roller blades and bike early on.

The crit ratio I found to be very low this generation, it'll be rare that I crit on any Pokémon I face. I also noticed that Pokémon hit harder than previous generations. The amount of HP taken off from some attacks is a bit alarming, but It's hard to explain.

I'd like to see what people think so far.

    My favorite things were...
I liked that you started with the Running Shoes right away. I never understood why you would need someone to give you specific shoes before you could run, and I'm glad Pokémon X and Y used roller skates to fix that. I liked that the XP Share effected everyone in your party, it made leveling up a lot easier. Then there was that you gained XP from catching Pokémon. That was great. I think the best new things were the Mega Evolutions and the Fairy Type. It's good to see Dragon brought down a notch, and I think that Mega evolutions are Pokémon finally not sticking to the safe side and trying something new.

My least favorite thing is definitely simply that there weren't very many new Pokémon. Everything other than that seemed fine to me.

That's a good point about the lack of new Pokémon. I was actually expecting a 2nd Eeveelution this generation since people kept saying they are usually released in pairs (thinking back to Gen 2 and 4, so they should've had one more this Gen). People were discussing it to be either Poison or Dragon type, I would've loved either one honestly. Poison would've made a lot of sense since Delphox is part psychic and there are a lot of psychic Pokémon you battle throughout the game, although weak to Psychic. The dragon also made sense because of the new Fairy type, and usually one of them is weak to the other. Psychic weak against dark, Grass weak against ice, etc.

I expected a new Eevee as well. Right up until the week of release I thought there would be another Eevee for this generation.

The worst thing right now is not knwing for sure what Pokémon are available where and in what version. For example, fucking Kangaskhan which people with X have found easily, and I can't find to save my life, yet it's not listed anywhere as an exclusive.

    I'm playing X, but I haven't seen single a Kangaskhan.

    Anyway,

    Best Things:
    beautiful 3D battles
    Fairy type!
    trainer customization
    new EXP Share
    Wonder Trade (I'm addicted)

    Worst Things:
    so few new Pokémon
mega evolutions replacing new evolutions for older Pokémon (I'm really not a fan of mega evolutions)
sky battles are pretty much worthless
Deposit/Withdraw are still PC options. Just make Move/Organize the default already!

Just to note, you don't have to put things in spoiler tags anymore unless it's about the plot. The game is out.

I'm actually one who thinks Fairy was a terrible addition. Gamefreak said they wanted balance, but all they did was make Fairy more OP'd than Dragon. (was it really necessary to have Fairy RESIST Bug types?) Dragon could have easily been balanced by taking away their resistance to Grass, Electric and Water types. I love the game. The story's good (but Plasma still > Flare), LOVE the 3D and customization, and the scenery is beautiful.

I just don't think the combat system was balanced, at all.

I love the new Pokémon and fairy type. The scenery is beautiful and I enjoy being treated like a kid would sometimes. (I've noticed that the friends joke around a lot and the adults don't always immediately think you're a hero)
As for dislikes, i don't really like the exp share I usually use it to raise one pkmn not all six so my team got unbalanced really quick and I had to turn it off. Luminoise City (as cool as it is) has a terrible camera angle, I can't tell where I'm going and get lost easily...small complaint but it matters to me..that glitch I've heard about seems really bad too, but I'm gonna avoid it now that I know.

    Good:
Wonderful graphics. I CRIED WHEN I GOT INTO THE CASTLE. IT SPARKLED TOO MUCH.
Exp Share. Ah, training a whole group just got easier. <3
Customization. Heck yes. I can get rid of that default style.
Fairy Type. Sylveon. Klekfi. Ah, my babies.
PSS. FRIENDS! Never before had I been so active in a Pokémon game. <3
Wonder Trade is wonderful, nuff said.
Amie. OMG! Them mons takin' mah soul.
Battle Chateau makes me feel great. I like that maid calling me nice things. Also, restaurants call you nice things too. "Fair lady"...man, that cracks me up.

    Bad:
Story was too short. TOO SHORT.
Little skin color options (where is Asian skin dammit?!)
    Hair styles and hair color was too limited. I want BLUE HAIR DAMMIT. How come nurse joy can have pink hair and I can't get an awesome color too?! ;A;
    NEW Pokémon NEEDED. Seriously. Badly.
Team Flare sucked so bad. So so bad. There was no real build up leading to the epic battle at the end. Heck, Team Galactic was better.
Mega Evos are not that awesome, since they removed the potential new Pokémon or real evos.
Sky battles. What's so different from normal battles?
Riding Pokémon. Okay, Lapras was nice, but WHY ARE THEY ONLY IN A LIMITED AREA?! I want to ride my Ryhorn in Lumiose...

But, overall, I enjoyed this game to bits~ :3

I love the new xp. share. It's alot easier to level up Pokémon and they level up alot quicker as opposed to the previous Pokémon games where you were forced to grind levels and do ridiculous amounts of battles. Also, even if you have a lower leveled Pokémon, they will easily be leveled up with your other Pokémon within a matter of a few battles. My Torchic was at level 7 when I first got it and now it's evolved into Blaziken at level 38 ^_^. I really hope they keep this feature in with future Pokémon games to come.

The best thing in the kalos region is the fact you can change your clothes and hairstyle, in all honest I always had an inner hatred for the fact that in the old games you couldn't change your clothes or hairstyle so you was stuck staring at the same clothes and hairstyle the main character was wearing and had throughout the whole game. And also, the Pokémon amie because it's extremely fun to feed and play with your Pokémon :)

The one thing I dislike about kalos is that they don't have contests anymore, I don't know why but the contests was always fun to me :P

After finishing it now, I can say the worst things are lack of move tutors, small post-game, and no challenge mode. These areas could have been improbed greatly. Besides that though I live everything else about it, more or less.

There are a lot of things I liked about gen 6. Mega Evolutions, Fairy Type, and easier EV training via horde battles to name a few. To be honest the only thing I dislike is how none of the gym leaders are very developed. Gen. 5 made every gym leader feel special and you got to know them outside of their gyms while in gen. 6 they were just... there. But overall I think the games are great and I can't wait to see what the next installment in the Pokémon series will be.
