Best Competitive Berry

I particularly like Lum Berry: it can cure any status effect. Now, it stays out of use most of the time, but I have my Volcarona holding one, because I'm always terrified that its Quiver Dance speed buff will be cut short by an opponents thunder wave, so I always prepare with Lum Berry!

 

I put the Lum Berry on all different types of sweepers. Also, I use the Sitrus Berry for all of the different Belly Drum users out there. However, I would say that the Lum Berry is better because of how well it can clear status effects compared to the simple healing that the Sitrus berry does.

 

I love the Lum Berry, because moves like Will-o-Wisp, Toxic, and Thunder Wave are everywhere in OU (which is what I play, lol). It's great protection for your sweepers. It's especially fun with Harvest Rest Trevenant, haha.

 

Petaya/Salac Berry works very well for clutch sweeps, combined with Substitute. Just make sure Priority users are dead before setting up a SubPetaya/SubSalac approach.

Lum Berry and RestoChesto works very well, but my favourite would have to be Harvest Trevenant as well.

 

I like using the Maranga berry on Pokémon with sub-par Sp. Def (mainly if they are support Pokémon). It raises the Pokémon's special defense by 1 if hit by a special attack, which is quite useful. It wouldn't seem like too much, but it is still quite useful.

 

I like the Enigma berry. When hit with a super effective move, it heals 1/4 HP. So Blissey would take even longer to kill.

 

Lum berry is personally my favorite just because of how it cures any status effect be it paralysis or sleep. I always have it on anything with rest because it's just a lot easier to have and better than having certain berries that take care of only one status effect.

 

I'm a believer in the custap berry. I always used to lead teams with gigalith- stealth rock, survive with sturdy, and EXPLODE.

 

I like Lum 'cuz it lets you beat Smeargle.

Contrary to everyone else, I myself prefer to use the Sirus Berry over most. I love spamming Belly Drum with Azumarill, Linoone, & especially Unburden Slurpuff. It's a free 25% & if you time the Belly Drum just right, you're on your way to an easy 6 - 0.

 

it has got to be sitrus or lum for me, able to absorb a status for one time could save the game, sitrus is for those Pokémon that wont benefit from leftovers as much and the ever trolling Exeggutor and Trevenant with harvest.

 

Sitrus Berry is the best competitive berry. It's insane how much it helps, especially when paired with Trevenant. Unless you OHKO it, that Trevenant is sticking around because of Sitrus Berry.
