If there's one complaint I have heard about the starters, it is the Fire/Fighting triumvirate. So who did it better, Blaziken, Infernape, or the other one? (Poor Tepig, you deserved so much better!)
I don't personally mind the fire/fighting thing going on, especially since all of these Pokémon are awesome. My favorite though is Infernape. It looks like the monkey king, and I absolutely love Ash's Infernape.
Blaziken. First starter, cool design, one of my favorite Pokémon. The other two are cool to, but yeah, neither of them will ever beat best boi Blaziken.
While I do think it’s repetitive to have 3 fire-fighting starters in a row, I’m fine with all 3 of them. Of the 3, I’ve only had Emboar on any team of mine, so that’s where my vote is going.
If anyone thinks I hate Emboar, I don't. I just believe that Tepig is adorable and I wish it got better than it did. Emboar is a fine design. (It's Pignite that I can't handle.) I just prefer the other two final forms. I like them about the same, but I slightly prefer Infernape.
