There is no right or wrong answer. I live in a suburb in the United States, but I'm pretty sure that there are better places to live than in an American suburb.

If you would like to give your opinion on this question, please explain why it's the best place to live, and pics would be nice (of the general area).

I think country sides are nice too. My grandparents live up in the mountains in like this small town and it's so relaxing xD In the summer it gets at a nice warm temperature and then in the winter it snows sooo much. I would love to live there. I'm not really a city person so I'd probably never live in the city. The only benefit about cities is how you can walk easily to places xD But yah I'd think the best place for me is somewhere quiet and peaceful surrounded by lot of nature but not too far out in like the woods or anything. :D I must sound picky :)

You'll have to call me picky as well, Ashe - that sounds amazing. Its kinda where I am now, in ways.

I wouldn't want to live alone in the middle of the countryside, I'd rather prefer to live in a very small town - like 100 inhabitants max - in the middle of the forest. My grandparents live in a place like that, everything is nearby, grocery and everything, 200 meters from the beach, but they don't live in the city, they just in this medium-sized tree cottage in the woods with some houses here and there. It's very nice.

I'd like to live in a place like where I grew up. Not in a town really, but a rural community. Houses surrounded by nature off of a main road, no town central. A way away from what could be considered "town" or "the city". Travel to places like grocery stores is slightly inconvenient if you want to go to a major super market, but the surrounding area is dotted with a few family owned convenience stores. Generally quiet, little traffic, lots of nature and you can see the stars at night. Nobody bothers you, there's space for everyone and you don't have to carry a knife just in case if you want to walk around outside in the middle of the night. The ocean nearby is a plus for me just cause it would remind me of it, I was never far away from an Atlantic coastline. I still am now but its different because it's a shipping area (container pier not far from my place, I can see the tops of the cranes from my window) and a major basin, and it can't really be enjoyed the same way.

I live in the city right now cause of circumstances and I'm not in a position to leave it right now, but I would like to someday. I don't like it as much. Not nearly. Sirens and traffic every day and the sky at night is orange.

yay it seems like most people agree that the county is the best! i love being surrounded by nature with miles between neighbors and everyone else. so peaceful. i used to live in this one house that had 18 acres of woods in the backyard and there was an abandoned railway and a river and some cliffs and stuff. i'd spend hours out there! i moved to philly for college and i had sucha hard time adjusting. orange night skies, sirens and traffic and the like, just like doima said XD but it was nice being able to walk everywhere.

I'm actually thinking of going to Philly, is it a nice town to visit for a culture freak like me?

If you enjoy technology, I'd say Japan for sure since they are technologically advanced. Not sure if they're the most technologically advanced in the world, but they're up there for sure. I like my country a decent amount but I do plan to move to America when I'm 18 so I can broaden my options a bit. :)

Funny you say that, I want to move to the UK when I'm 18 for almost the same reason xD
I'm also kinda afraid to keep living in the US, but that's another topic altogether.

Anyways I live in a rural area in New Jersey (yes, they exist here too...) and it's been changing slowly into a suburban town, so it's in this awkward state right now :/ As much as I like the idea of a small town where everyone knows each other, it gets annoying after a little while. I really want to live in the suburbs outside of small city, so that I still get that small town feeling and have the option to go walking around in a neighboring city. I only say that because I also feel very unsafe living in/near big cities (for obvious reasons) XD

I'd have to go with the Texas Hill Country. I know, I live in Texas already, but c'mon, in the hill country, its an all you can eat buffet of deer, rabbits, squirrels, etc.
