In every Pokémon game, features are added and subtracted as the main series games move onto the next generation. Features like SuperTraining, the PSS, Pokémon Amie, Soar, and the Dex Nav are a few examples of Pokémon Features added in the current sixth. A few examples of features taken out from previous games are Challenge/Easy Mode from B2/W2, Battle Frontier and Secret Bases from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Pokémon following you in Heart Gold/Soul Silver, and the Underground in Diamond/Pearl.

Which feature, in your opinion, was the best feature added to the main Pokémon games? Is it still in use, or have they been removed? Which features would you like to see return in Gen 7?

I'm a huge fan of Amie because of those insanely helpful in-battle boosts.. they've saved my behind more times than I can count. I'm also very fond of the ability to get a rough idea of your Pokémon's EV spread via Super Training, especially for someone who has made mistakes EV training in the past with little way of remember what it was exactly I did wrong. Basically X and Y introduced a slew of my favorite features and for that I'm really grateful.

So many to choose from, and many good ones too.
A nice feature in Generation II that they added, that's probably my favorite (if not, it's at least one of my faves) is the inclusion of shinies. Breeding was nice, and so was the Special split. Held items as well... the list goes on.

As far as the future (AKA Gen VII) I wouldn't mind seeing the "shaking grass" feature from Gen V make a return. I guess it's sort of there in ORAS, but to a much different extent. Shaking grass in Gen V always meant some really good experience (AKA Audino :D)

Pokeathlon from HGSS. I absolutely loved the little minigames you did, and picking apricots from those little trees... I remember the little Brick Smash, I would destroy my screen by jabbing it with my stylus. xD

Another from HGSS, I want to see your Pokémon walking behind you. That was always so cute, and they'd find a golden leaf. (I never knew what those were for, but it was nice getting them.)

For me it was probably the Join Avenue. It was a really neat little feature that I'm so sad they didn't bring over into the next games. The same goes for following Pokémon. That was awesome.

Favorite feature is the 'Use another repel?' bit. It's literally a godsend. Going into the menu every single time was such a huge pain.

1000000000% agree. When I first saw this feature, I nearly cried. It truly is a godsend.

My favorite feature would the key items. Just press Y or Start, and your bike magically appears!

I think the best feature is the special split. It really compliments certain Pokémon and really makes it more reliable to depend on different Pokémon.

I think one of the best features is the fact that you can use TMs multiple times without breaking it, which was implemented in Gen V, which makes me to not worry about which Pokémon should learn Ice Beam and all, and I'm glad this is kept in Gen VI as well.

Well there are a lot and I can't really decide. Some of the features I loved the most were small things like your Pokémon following you around. But I think the best one would be being able to change your trainer's clothes. I think it's something that is pretty important in a game like Pokémon. It's a shame they removed it tho, but I hope they add it in the future games.
