We all have one, how do you celebrate yours? Do you? Or do you prefer to just let it pass?

I just celebrate mine mostly with my family, I don't need much for it as I am turning 26 so it's not like a huge celebration ^-^

I don't celebrate mine anymore, don't really see the need to really I was never really a fan of celebrating my own birthday. I hate having birthday songs sung for me ever since I was a kid and I can't stand being around too many people. Sure people wishing me happy birthday on FB, LV and other sites and such are fine and maybe going out to eat or get something special to eat at home but that's pretty much as far as it go.

I prefer celebrating my birthdays by going out for dinner somewhere nice together with my family and perhaps a small group of close friends. Large gatherings, surprise parties, etc. aren't for me.

Honestly, that changes a lot. Most years, I love going to big events, but in the past few, I've just preferred staying home with a few close friends. For my last birthday, me and one of my best friends went out with my family to Benihana (where they cook your food in front of you). That was certainly some of the most fun I've had on my birthday.

I turn twenty-fleem this year. I say that because I don't care about my physical age as it really isn't relevant to me.

I have never been one to celebrate my birthday, as it always bothered me - both being around a lot of people I didn't know very well, and a crippling reminder that I'm steadily getting older and my youth is slipping away for me. Now it's slipped away entirely, but I knew that was going to happen.

Age really isn't that important except for tax and/or insurance purposes. After hitting the age of twenty, all age numbers become very similar to one another with not many real differences between them - since, at that point, we're all adults.
I don't post my birthday anywhere on the Internet, as I know that people will be drawn or obligated to send me 'happy birthday' messages, which is not something I like at all; rather, they bother me immensely.

I'm somewhat similar to Eclipse in this regard, since I don't really consider my physical age to be of much importance. It doesn't tell anyone anything about my personality except that I have been alive for X amount of years. I don't mind telling people my birthday, but I usually don't give away my age unless someone underage is flirting with me because they think I'm 15, haha.

For my birthday itself, I usually keep it simple. I go out to dinner with my parents and hang out with friends a bit, I don't ask for gifts anymore because I don't really need anything. I don't do anything huge, mostly because I enjoy small events rather than huge parties.

(It's also very weird being in my early 20's and still getting treated like a middleschooler. Damn my super young looks. Maybe when I'm 40 I'll finally look 20 maybe)

Up til now, I always celebrated my birthday. However, I don't really like being around my family anymore (honestly, all they do is gossip and talk about stuff I don't think is interesting), so I usually sit upstairs. Each and every time, my parents had to go get me. I don't think I'm gonna celebrate it anymore mostly because my parents forced an ultimatum upon me: having family over and getting presents or not having family over and not getting presents.

Well, I've always shared a birthday. Not MY special day, but OUR special day. In the past, I've always invited around 27 people, but now, I just invite a few friends. Why? Because I don't think anyone is interested in my parties, since they won't be like the ones they like, with modern music, swearing and food I don't like; those... at home parties.

I don't mind presents, but if I'm given something, I will always cherish it dearly! After all, it was meant for me, so I might as well keep this free gift!

I don't tell people my birthday. On my old abandoned facebook page, I listed the wrong day, so now some random day in like May or something I'll get a load of people wall-posting me despite the fact I haven't logged into facebook in two years or maybe even talked to some of those very people in four years.

I don't like partying, so I'm not going to want people to "abduct" me and take me partying on the day I want to keep for myself. Last few years I've called up one friend and we got coffee or went to a bookstore or watched a redbox. That's all I want. No excessive attention for me, so I won't tell you my birthday.

Birthdays are something that I've always loved celebrating, however, if you think about it, the reason we celebrate birthdays seems to be, "Congratulations! You didn't die this year!" That might be a little extreme, but I'll go with it. Although I don't see too much reason to celebrate them, I will always enjoy celebrating my birthday, not because I love a lot of attention, but because it's a great opportunity to spend time with those you are closest to. Now that I'm an adult, my birthdays won't be anything too special starting when I turn 19 in June, but I will always make sure to celebrate them. For me, wishing other people a happy birthday isn't necessarily a way of me telling them to have a good day, it's one way of telling them that I care about them, and I know them enough to care that it's their birthday.

I celebrate all of my birthdays but usually only with my family.
For some reason I don't like to go out with my friends that day but I guess it's because I usually only do it with people very close to me.

I'm pretty quiet about it for the most part and will just do something with family. Something peaceful/relaxing is enough for me! :)

Sure I'll celebrate my birthday. As a child they were large events, but nowadays it's something small with friends. I enjoy a minor celebration with people, and a nice dinner to go with it. Also I won't lie, presents are great

I don't really like partying or having a big celebration with friends. I prefer to have some quiet, relaxing time with my family over dinner. I don't mind some little surprises here and there from my close friends, as long as they don't go over the line.

I don't know if people also do this on other countries, but in the city I live in there's this "tradition" of some sorts that a lot of teenagers or young adults do where they prank their friends on their birthdays by throwing eggs and flour at them, spraying them with water, or even pretending to ignore them the whole day. I don't want any of those to ever happen to me lol
