    Plot:

Four powerful Digimon invade Japan and kidnap a five-year-old boy, who they proceed to brainwash and indoctrinate. They leave, with one of the Digimon coming back from time to time to ensure the brainwashing stayed fresh. Several other children were traumatized by the monsters’ appearance and that a child was taken by them. Years later, one girl escapes her captor, scarred and emotionally distant. Six children choose to save the world with anything they have available, including the creatures who ruined their lives.

    Name: Kiuchi Ichiei (木内 一榮)
    Gender: Male
Age: 16 (6 when the Breach occurred)

    Appearance:
Well kempt black hair and a clean student uniform render Ichiei otherwise unassuming in the hustle and bustle of high school life. Medium height and an otherwise average build have let Ichiei blend in with the crowds, allowing him to focus on his studies.

However, on Sundays and days off, he prefers to don a pair of baggy blue jeans, a white shirt, and a red newboy cap that tilts to the side.
    Digimon:
    Punimon -> Petit Meramon -> Hawkmon -> Buraimon -> Garudamon -> Zhuqaiomon
    ydp-1on1.png

    Partner’s personality:

As Hawkmon, he simply cannot restrain himself. He cannot sit still for long, and oftentimes goes soaring off into the sky just to keep himself moving. He is quick to jump to conclusions and quicker to jump to action. When forced to talk, he speaks with a sense of urgency, because he simply cannot wait for the conversation to be done and over with.

    Attacks:

    As Hawkmon:
    • Feather Slash: Throws the feather on its head like a boomerang.
    • Swift Peck: Pecks at the enemy with its sharp beak.
    • Hawk Strike: Flips into the air and strikes at the enemy with its talons.
    * Hawkmon has the ability to light itself on fire. Attacks change slightly to incorporate fire.

    Relationship with partner:
Hawkmon has yet to meet Ichiei. When they meet, there are sure to be fireworks.
    Personality:
Ichiei has made a few friends (and enemies) here and there, by nature of growing up in a close-knit neighborhood. Those who know him understand that he has great respect for the rules and honesty, and dislikes those who disobey them. He does his schoolwork, pays attention in class, and works hard in track club. People consider him a model student, despite his average grades. His hard work is sometimes off-putting, but he can be very talkative and could easily get along with anyone if he tried. He often struggles with deciding what to do in stressful moments, due to lingering trauma from his brothers passing.

    History:
Many years have past since that strange event. To this day, Ichiei has no idea what really happened. He occasionally thinks back to it, only to be drawn back into the real world he lives in.

The first son of the Kiuchi family, he has been groomed and tutored to do well by the family name once he graduates from college. But, like any persons life, his childhood was tumultuous.

Ichiei was the first of three brothers, followed by Kazuma and Hayato Kiuchi. Ichiei, as the oldest, took to being protective of his brothers. Despite this, Kazuma was always a frail child, and Ichiei, being but a year older, had to walk with him to school and make sure he was alright. Most days, the walk was uneventful. However, one day during the walk to secondary school, Ichiei and Kazuma were beset upon by a gang of delinquents that decided to take up residence in an alley along the way. Before Ichiei could do anything, the boys already had Kazuma in their grasp, kicking Ichiei to the side as they tormented the sickly boy. Ichiei took the chance to quickly run to a nearby police officer who, noticing the boys black eye, immediately followed him to the scene. The police officer managed to arrest the leader of the gang as the rest bolted, but one caught Ichiei's eyes as he ran, leaving Ichiei with a bad feeling as he helped his brother up - his scream of pain as he moved revealing his newfound broken leg.

Ichiei and Kazuma were taken to a local hospital, Ichiei receiving treatment for his eye as doctors rushed to treat Kazuma. Their parents, distraught at the news, rushed to the hospital as soon as they could, taking them both home before the end of the night. Ichiei was then in charge of getting to school on his own as his parents took the time to bring wheelchair-bound Kazuma to school. Ichiei took a different route this time.

However, Kazuma's leg never seemed to heal properly. Ichiei never understood why, but Kazuma was effectively inseparable from his wheelchair. Then he became bedridden. And then... he has passed away. Ichiei's memories of the time are fuzzy, but the passing of his closest brother has left a lasting impact upon him. Ichiei dedicated his passing into high school to Kazuma, while trying to be a brother to the young Hayato.

    Name: Saki Okada

    Gender: Female

Age: 14 (4 when the Breach occurred)

Appearance: Saki has curly auburn locks that reach to the base of her neck and oval-shaped troubled green eyes. Though, after being a hostage, Saki’s curls became matted and messy since she couldn’t brush her hair any more. Her mother is working on restoring her hair to its original state, but it will take some time. Her face is slightly rounded and she was somewhat fair-skinned when she was a young child. Now however, she looks paler than a ghost, if that was even possible, due to being kept in a dark room the entire time she was caught.

She is three inches taller than her younger twin at 5'7" (170.18 cm) and is slowing recovering the weight she lost while captive. She has a slight tan from what little sun she's managed to soak up after she escaped. Saki is slender and agile. She has the body language of a person who’s been held hostage for roughly half of her life. Her winning, picture-perfect smile is gone. She wears a light blue dress with purple floral designs and white and blue sneakers.

Saki has one obvious scar; it is on the back of her right knee. There are other, very faded scrape marks on her hands, throat, chest, legs and back, including the faint mark on her ankle where the shackle was. Where ChaosGreymon shattered the shackle, there remains a fragment of metal that chipped into the bone and the bone grew around, causing Saki to walk with a limp.

    Digimon: Bubbmon->Pyocomon->Floramon->Stingmon/Flymon->Dinobeemon->TigerVespamon

Partner’s personality: Pyocomon is a happy little critter, fully aware of any problems, but unable to deal with them in her current form. Full of beans and trusting, she is slightly impatient.

Floramon is generally mature and serious, in contrast to her submissive partner. Despite their personality differences, she and Saki seem very close. Floramon is shown to be easily annoyed by others goofing off or drawing unneeded attention to themselves. She hates anything that she deems childish as well as being described as a flower.

As Stingmon and Dinobeemon, she goes ballistic when in battle, falling into a mysterious rage. She theorizes later that it’s her inner beast awakening that causes the vehemence. It took Floramon a while to realize that fighting was just something she liked.

As Flymon, she behaves like a savage animal, wreaking havoc and not heeding Saki’s cries to stop causing damage. Finally, as TigerVespamon, she becomes laid-back and more mature, settling down into her true final form.

Attacks: Allergy Shower, Sweet Scent and Gaia Healing

Relationship with partner: Saki’s kidnapping essentially made the human-partner relationship between them dysfunctional, in that each used the other as a power source. Floramon, with her dominant, yet serious nature, enjoyed breaking her partner’s resolve every time, seeing her as nothing more than a battery of sorts. Saki, however, became high from the intoxicating feeling of the bond they shared. Most importantly, is that both knew their relationship wasn’t all that healthy, but they didn’t know how to survive by themselves.

Personality: Saki is more emotionally distant now, since her spirit was nearly broken. She still wants to interact with the others, however, so she tries her best to remain active in conversations. Alone, she’s extremely cautious as she never knows if ChaosPiemon’s around. Saki would trust very few people, if any, until they’ve reassured her. Even then, she would still be incredibly wary. Having been hostage most of her life, she wouldn’t really know what to think, wouldn’t know what any landmarks meant (like traffic lights).

Saki has had to become assertive in her standard of killing the foe, something which would have went against her policies at one time. Being a hostage changes things over time, her personality was one of them. She is now a lot more gung-ho in seeking out servants of the Chaos Generals to delete them and Floramon shares her passion, but ten-fold more. Saki would have been afraid of Stingmon’s extreme aggression in making foes suffer once, but now she doesn’t care, letting her do what she wants with them.

She is very stoic, reserved and calm, gathered by the fact that she remains unmoved physically even though Digimon have somehow conquered Japan. Saki appears very distant and aloof since she only observes conversations and only speaks when someone questions her for her opinion on the matter.

Saki acts ambivalent to the point of apathy. Severely traumatized by being a hostage for most of her life along with the extreme loneliness that had affected her, she has extremely neutral viewpoints on life and death and is uncaring of either. She's told countless people she does not really care if she dies. Because of her unnerving lack of interest and motivation, she often acts only when told to do so and takes on tasks with little, if any, sense of self-preservation.

It is ironically this apathetic attitude of hers would allow her to fight the Digimon effectively; she battles without concern for her safety and cares little if she tires herself out during a fight, allowing her to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies with the only consequence being exhaustion.

Despite the fact that Saki cares little for her own safety, she breaks through her stony and blunt attitude whenever her allies are in danger and even worries for their safety when any of them are put in a life-threatening situation, mainly because the thought of them dying reminds her of what happened to her when she was young.

She is seen as apathetic and blunt, often going straight to the point. On other occasions, Saki has been called a glutton for being able to eat so much without gaining weight. Saki also shows a calm and quick side to herself during intense situations.

History: Saki was born to Kaede and Chiharu, who were, in her opinion, the best parents ever. Her father was a real estate agent and her mother a nurse; both were from well off families. She had an older brother called Akira and a sister three minutes younger than her, Hisao: Akira was more into music by the artist Vizion and Hisao a jerk sometimes, but they all got along just fine.

Her family was quite well off. But, the very day she turned four years of age, she met Pyocomon, as the barriers were broken by Chaosdramon and the Chaos Generals. It was seen by the six children who were scared out of their minds, not to mention traumatized. A lot of people died; there was a lot of destruction. Many of Saki’s friends were also lost in the invasion: crushed by falling debris, hit by out of control vehicles.

Time passed and the disappearance of Akira upset Saki even more, as she started being home-schooled by her parents. She was five and she grieved every day, thinking he was dead. The rest of her family didn’t know what had happened to him, either; they were all rather worried. Saki never gave up hope that he would one day return, however, even if that hope was buried deep.

Saki turned seven and decided to go wandering the streets with her sister to try and find any sign of their older brother. The sisters kept close to each other as they searched, but then a boy with a Bearmon appeared in front of them. With the Bearmon threatening injury to the girls, Hisao spooked and ran off, her Digimon following her. The bear cub proceeded to knock Saki out and the boy and his Digimon took Saki and Floramon away.

For the next six years of her life, Saki was kept prisoner in a darkened room, her right foot shackled to the floor. She lived in appalling conditions, was not allowed to go to the toilet properly. The boy, who did not reveal his name, tortured and beat her. Finally, Floramon had had enough; both her and the girl she used as a battery of sorts wanted out. She evolved to Stingmon and broke the shackle, a fragment of metal chipping the bone of Saki’s ankle. This resulted in the girl developing a limp, but the broken device was enough for them to get away from there. Saki and her partner made their way back to her parents’ house.

How long had it been since the Invasion? Ten years, if his memory served him correctly. But then again, he didn't really think about that any more. He was a Digimon, after all. Human concepts like years tended to blur together once one had been here long enough. He had already achieved his Adult form and was in the process of unlocking his Perfect stage with the help of the human who he'd bonded with, regardless of whether it had been the boy's choice or not.

Gryzmon sniffed the air and noticed a gang of thugs walking towards him. He saw the blunt weapons being clutched by some of the humans and was intelligent enough, despite the corruption in his system, to understand the leader wanted him as their guard dog while they raided some shops. The grizzly-like Digimon rolled his shoulders in a shrugging motion and accompanied them. Hiroshi won't be too worried, Gryzmon thought. He knows I can look after myself.

Another school day, another afternoon of track club. Ichiei appreciated the routine. He and the other members would set out new running goals to train for upcoming competitions, then leave for home before they overworked themselves. Everyone but Ichiei. Ichiei would stay behind afterwards and straighten up the equipment and locker room. The chores gave him purpose, a chance to clear his head before he caught the train home. And with a click, the equipment was safely stored away for the next school day. With a silent sigh, the eldest brother changed into his school uniform, donning his backpack and walking past the still open school gate, out into the wild streets of metropolitan Japan.

The walk normally went by uneventfully. No one seemed to care about another student walking home after school. Such was a typical event, and Ichiei was used to his route. Up this road, down this alley, turn right there , cross the bridge here. He was a student lost in his own world, oblivious to the atypical situation he found himself in until it was too late.

As the thugs and Gryzmon encountered what little remained of the police force, Gryzmon released a rumbling roar, trying to intimidate the officers. They didn’t budge, though; their faces gaunt and expressions grim. One of the thugs noticed a school boy ready to walk into the rumble and he shouted at him.

“Hey, kid! Get out of here! Unless you want to die like these officers...” The baseball-wielding man watched and waited for the boy to reply.

The voice fell on deaf ears as Ichiei blindly walked forward. It's not that he did not hear the man, it is that he did not process what was said. He sluggishly cast a glance in the direction of the voice but his eyes drifted idly back to the sidewalk in front of him, before something clicked. With another look, a more alert Ichiei realized that something was up. There was a crowd, and not of random passersby. In fact, the heavy police presence told him that he had walked into a dangerous situation. There were police, yes, but they were outnumbered by men wielding weapons and... was that a bear? Except this looked like no bear he had ever seen, in textbooks or online. It was purple and wearing...clothes? ... his eyes must be playing tricks on him.

Ichiei took the moment to rub his eyes in effort to get rid of the illusion of the bear, only to realize that it was, in actuality, very real. He stood there otherwise motionless.

Gryzmon observed impassively as the man yelled at the child, before he snorted at the boy's realization that Gryzmon wasn't like real life bears.

"I've been here for ten years, child. I am now flesh and blood like you weak humans." The comment wasn't spoken with ill intent; the bear just wanted to impress upon the young human that Digimon, too, could become organic if they stayed in the real world long enough.

Gryzmon was about to turn away when he heard a click. His head whirled instantly and saw that one of the other men had raised a pistol, ready to shoot the boy. He only hesitated for a second, charging for the boy to save him from being shot.

Did that bear talk? Ichiei shook his head rapidly and slapped his forehead twice to clear his senses, only to open his eyes to the sight of the bear charging at him. He braced for impact, preparing for his death at the hands of a freak bear accident in the middle of urban Japan... and then came the gunshot.

Ichiei did not dare open his eyes yet.

Gryzmon only had enough time to push the boy down and stand over his body, protecting him. Then, there was sudden pain. The bullet had entered his left shoulder. He grit his teeth as the agony shot through his entire body. Damn it, Hiroshi, was all he thought. The things I do for these spineless humans.

Whatever hit Ichiei certainly had enough force to knock him onto his back. He didn't dare react to it, lest the ones attacking him think he was still alive... but how would he get out of this situation? What could he do about guns? What could he do about a bear? He was just a high school kid who couldn't save his own brother... He could try to run, but would they notice him before he could split? He'd probably get shot at again... he could die here and now. No. Why did this type of thing have to happen again? Did crime just like to follow Ichiei around Japan? When would it stop taking things away from him?

"Kid," Gryzmon growled low enough for the boy to hear him. The purple bear hadn't wanted it to come to this, but he had no other choice. "I'm going to need you to go to Tokyo Tower and get Hiroshi for me. He's the only one who has the utensils to be able to remove this bullet from my shoulder. Don't worry about them shooting again; I'll hold them off with one of my attacks. They won't be expecting me to strike back."

The bear was talking again. What was he saying? Tokyo Tower? Either he was losing blood to the point of delusion, or the talking bear was asking him for a favor... ha... haha... this had to be a dream. A very bad, photorealistic dream brought on by grief and stress....

These thoughts kept Ichiei laying on the ground, which was rather fruitful, considering the bear standing directly over him.

Gryzmon nudged the boy with a paw, but then winced at the pain that shot through his body. “You should go to Tokyo Tower. I’ll make sure they don’t shoot you. Find Hiroshi and bring him back here.” When the teen still didn’t respond, Gryzmon huffed and stood to his full height. He then reached down with his teeth to drag Ichiei into a standing position. “Go now.” Pausing for a moment, he continued: “And if you happen to come across any other children with Digimon, make sure you inform either myself or Hiroshi.”

The bear was very much real, as much as Ichiei had hoped that to not be the case. Though he was still afraid of the creature, he could hear a pain in its voice. Sneaking a glance up at the bear with a single, frightened eye, he saw blood matting its fur. It's own blood, oozing from a wound. The gun shot? Did this talking bear literally take a bullet for him?

    ...

Ichiei stumbled to his feet as he ran away from the situation. He didn't know how long he ran, but, as his already tired muscles began to ache, he found himself slowing down to a walk as he gathered his thoughts. He still didn't understand a lick of what had happened, but the blood drops on his shirt told him it had really happened. Ducking into an alley, Ichiei spent a minute catching his breath. That bear wanted him to head to Tokyo Tower and find someone. Hi... Hiroshi? Maybe he was the owner of this bear. But if he was involved with those guys with guns...

Ichiei swallowed nervously at the thought. What had he gotten himself into? What would happen if he refused? That bear had his smell and knew what he looked like, so if they found out who he was and where he lived...

No, it would be best to get to Tokyo Tower and get this over with, then hope it all blow over and get back to a life where he wasn't involved in something as crazy as this.

Doing his best to hide the animal blood on his clothes, Ichiei quickly took to the roads again and hurried into a busier section of town, blending in with the crowds as he caught a train that would bring him closer and closer to the familiar red and white tower.

Akira sighed and stared out the window. She was broken from her thoughts as she heard a whine. In another minute, she felt something rubbing against her knees. She nodded, reaching down to stroke her monster partner, Labramon. The pink and white dog Digimon gave her a concerned glance, and she only returned its gaze.

After spending countless years together, and they didn't need to talk to find out understand what the other was thinking. After all, who wouldn't be thinking about the Invasion after they both understood what the world had been like before?

Before… That seemed so long ago… And it had been. But at the same time, time passed in the blink of an eye… Before, when she had found Labramon outside her house, and everyone agreed he could be, her pet like a real dog. He, wanting to protect the one who found them, and she with her love of animals… Akira remembered the first thing she had wanted to do was give Labramon a name, but he had been content with the name of species.

She supposed it was a point of pride for him, after surviving an uncertain journey to a strange world… A strange world… Yes, she supposed Labramon would find this world strange even after all this time, when it was so different from his own. His own world… One where creatures made out of data roamed freely… One where they could bond with humans and their technology in or to reach even greater heights…

One where death and time were almost trivial things, with reincarnation into new data awaiting the end of the old… One that he had been eager to show her, and eager to go back and forth between… Yet now he couldn't. All because of the Invasion throwing the world into war. Both against Labramon’s kind and the ones that commanded them…

Akira wondered if Labramon ever felt guilty. If he did, he didn't show it, and he certainly wasn't going to tell her now. So instead Akira glanced at a pile of papers on her desk nearby. Those papers had been her dream… She had wanted to become a veterinarian, helping animals and even others like Labramon… But now, she wasn't sure if it was worth it.

Being a defenseless person out in the open who could only heal was a death sentence in a world at war. If she didn't get drafted or pulled into it with her new healing skills, provided she even finished. Labramon had taught her some basic combat techniques, but Akira wasn't sure how they well they would serve her in a real fight. She wasn't sure she wanted to know the answer.

Akira abruptly stood up. She needed to head outside, needed to get some fresh air. Labramon followed behind her, sensing her restlessness. Akira managed a small smile. Even after the Invasion, Labramon would still follow and guard her anywhere. At least there was one thing Akira could be sure of. Yet as she glanced around the room, uncertainty flashed in her eyes.

She had left her house many times after the Invasion, yet now it seems like there was some sort of finality to it. Akira didn't know if the gut feeling was right, but she knew she couldn't ignore it. So she grabbed everything she could.
