I don't know about you guys, but I personally love going on boats. I never get seasick, and I love the smell of being over water. It's a seriously calming thing, and perhaps one of my favorite outdoor activities, if not my favorite. Whether it is fishing or just enjoyed fresh air, it's a great way for me to spend my free time.

Do you ever go boating? What body of water do you prefer: ocean, river, or lake? Do you get seasick? Do you fish while you boat? Have you ever sailed over the ocean?

I haven't boated in years, but oh how I want to go again! Specifically to an oceanic body of water, where I can't even see the shore. Rather than the sea, I think a lot of my attention will be on the sky. On the ground, you're surrounded by buildings or road signs or trees or distant mountains; but at sea? It's you, the mast, and the sky. How big it must seem compared to from the land!

I used to live near the water and would occasionally go on a boat on rivers or the ocean, but I haven't had the chance in such a long time. One of these days, though, I shall again be with the sea.

Aaahhh... boats! I love the ocean: a place never fully fathomable by humans. I love the idea of travelling through the waters, be it slowly or a fast cruise. Now Australia is an island itself, and opportunities for boat rides are just about everywhere!

I never become seasick and motioning through the water is simply soothing and gives me a natural and adventurous feeling. I can say that my love for the oceans and waters was enhanced by playing the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD that I had purchased and completed last November.

Often when I go to the city of Sydney, some places are unreachable by land, so our only option is to go by ferry. On windy days, the boat ride is fast and fun! The boat rocks high and low, and water splashes on those who wish to stand outside. My sister and I always stand outside. Occasionally, dolphins and whales can be observed, but the most common animal that we can see on the ferry are jellyfish.

I've only been on sea vessels a number of times. One time was via sailing about a small harbor on someone's personal dinghy. (Okay, that's inaccurate. I was one of the passengers.) I was not fond of the experience as I couldn't keep internal balance due to the water being...well, not solid. I was certainly safe inside the boat but it wasn't something I was fond of.

I've also been on ferries, whale-watching boats (we saw a ton of dolphins but no whales), tour guide vessels...they were all tolerable, but I'm not really fond of being surrounded everywhere by water. I don't like water unless I'm drinking it; even water splashing on me in any small way bothers me. I'm slowly acclimating myself to rain without a jacket, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

To say I would inherently dislike the experience would be somewhat inaccurate, but I would most certainly much rather spend my time somewhere else, like somewhere on land, where I can actually place my feet and move about with more freedom. (That may be probably why I dislike boats - the lack of freedom to move about.)

I used to be on boat on occasion, specifically on ferry boats, mostly when I'm going to the other city when on Chinese New Year, and I never got any seasick. Usually I would enjoy looking at the window when the boat is sailing, seeing the islands and shores on the way, I enjoyed it :)

I have done boting only once. The place where i live, there is no boating spot so no boating. I am far away from ocean so not. I have never been to a ship so i dont know wether i will get seasick or not.

I've been on a boat before in all sorts of settings. Ocean, river, lake, amusement park... you name it. I don't get seasick, which is weird considering how motion sick I am. It's pretty fun and relaxing. However, I've never stayed on a boat anymore than a day.

Funny enough, I'm actually an officially licensed boater. I'm not a fan of swimming, but I love piloting watercraft of all sorts. I've only had a few chances to use my license, but I enjoy being able to use it wherever the opportunity is given. Lakes, ocean, whatever. It's water all the same.

For someone as clumsy as I, it may come as a surprise to others that I actually never get seasick and tend to easily transition to my "sea legs" with little trouble.

The last time I was on a boat was two years ago. The only boats I've ever been on are huge ferry-like boats, meant to bring people from an island to the main land. Even cars could board the ferry (I'm talking about approximately fifty cars here), which should give you an image of the boats I'm talking about. They're great to travel by and always give me a great sense of freedom. I'm not seasick on those boats because of their size, but I think I would be if I were to board a smaller boat.

So, long story short: I love to board boats, as long as they're big enough :D

Poking around in slower boats is never super special for me unless it brings you to some beautiful scenery not reachable by land. Speedboats though, that's where the fun is. I love the speed and the wind in my face blowing my hair everywhere. Even more fun is being in a tube behind the boat, clinging for dear life.

When my stepdad takes us down to his condo we go out on a pontoon boat. It's fun, and we fish and swim. The water's really clear where we go. :D

I've also been airboating before, and that is super cool. One time when we were out, a dolphin swam right under us.

I wish I could go more often, but I'm glad I'm able to in the first place!
