    So, I made this thread to ask what your favorite books/graphic novels are. (And no, manga does not count. There's just too manyyyyyy)
    *coughs* MOVING ON NOW

    A few of My Book Recommendations:
    • The absolute BEST book is Ready Player One by Ernest Cline...
    • and the Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness, who also wrote
    • More Than This.
    • Ernest Cline also wrote Armada, which is fairly recent
    • And of course, we can't forget the new YAC books this year. Some favorites include...
    • Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, which is better than the title/cover may indicate(I personally liked the cover though),
    • Summoner: The Novice by Taran Mattharu
    • We can't forget the heart-pounding Illuminae by Marie Lu and James Dashner,
    • The new Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan seems to be popular
    • Nimona, a new graphic novel
    • Also the The Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson
    • And Mistborn, also by Brandon Sanderson
    • And The Rithmatist,
    • And Elantris
    • Also have a dozen other books I can't think of right now

    That's a... little more than a few. Whoops. If you would like a book recommendation for yourself and none of these appeal, then PM me or post here with a genre/book you enjoyed

    And above all, post your own favorites!

    I think two absolutely amazing series are Throne of Glass and Mortal Instruments. Both of them are great fantasy novels with a nice amount of humour (and of course some romance). And the MCs are just stiff boring 'hero' characters like Katniss Everdeen or Triss (u mad fans?), they have an awesome personality, they are just that right amount of lazy for you to relate to them, they're funny as all hell. I just think those series are freaking great.

    I think you mean "aren't"
    Yeah, I enjoyed the Mortal Instruments a lot (The worldbuilding was amazing), but I'll have to check out the Throne of Glass sometimes :D

    My recommendations in order;
    • J. R. R. Tolkien's Legendarium (The Silmarillion -> The Hobbit -> Lord of the Rings 1, 2 & 3).
    • Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling.
    • The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
    • Agatha Christie's Hercule books.
    • Dan Brown's Robert Langdon books.

    Oh goddd that is such a hard read. I got through half of it at most. Maybe I'll try it when my brain is better at doing words.

    I agree, forgot to mention that. Probably one of the best series with dragons as as a main, and a wonderful fantasy novel as well.

    I know, that's one of the best parts! It's such a challenge and you learn so much reading it. I've learned three new words from the first chapter alone.

    The Inheritance Cycle was my favourite series prior to falling madly in love with J. R. R. Tolkien. :D

    I really loved the Percy Jackson series. While it might be for Middle Grade, the humour and wit never fails to make me smile or snort.

    Warriors is a ridiculously long series, but gets you hooked the minute you reach chapter 5. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is good for a laugh, but someone could probably read it in 30 minutes it's so simple.

    Soon I'll be able to read whatever I want again, finishing up the books for my Literature course.

    I'd like to read really enjoyable books over the summer, to re-kindle my love for reading after its near-death experience this last year.

    Does anyone have suggestions?
