Group RP Breath of the Wild RP

Aria woke up to Majora's whispered reassurances. She buried in face in his chest for a moment as she gathered her wits about her. "It was..." She whispered back. "He told-no, begged me to free him. But something drew me back and dragged me away. Then..." Aria grew quiet. "This is the second vision..." She sighed. "Just hold me, please?" Without waiting for an answer, Aria pressed closer and fell back asleep.

 

Light bled through the open windows when Aria woke up next. She blinked groggily as she took in her surroundings as best she could. Majora's arms were wrapped tightly around her and Aria smiled happily at him, snuggling into his chest for a few moments longer before her stomach grumbled and Aria was swiftly reminded of her lack of food from the day before.
"Darling," she whispered. "Rise and shine."

 

"Doesn't matter- I left all my supplies at the stable anyway," Aria shrugged. She sniffed her tunic and wrinkled her nose. "I'll pop over there and grab them if you want to cook breakfast here... And it's laundry day definitely."

 

"I should be fine- it's a flat plain and we routed the bokoblins yesterday," Aria told him. She stretched and took off, glad for the run. Her stomach growled in protest but she ignored it as the stable came closer.
The stablemaster waved her over as soon as he saw her and Aria changed course slightly, heading to the reception.
"Here are your bags," he told her as she reached the counter. "I kept them safe for you, as always." He placed them on the counter and Aria grabbed them, trusting that none of her stuff was stolen. She grinned and shouldered them.
"Thanks," Aria said cheerfully and he returned the smile.
"I'm afraid that Blueberry got out during the night," he told her and Aria's grin dropped. "We think he might have jumped the fence. I saw no sign of monster activity nor bandits."
"I see," she replied neutrally, her mind racing. "I'll call for him, but with any luck he just went for a gallop."
The stablemaster nodded. "Will you be taking up anymore contracts? You have some escort requests-" he interlocked his fingers together and shift his weight.
"Not right now," Aria replied, an easy smile returning. "I'm travelling with a group- and I need their opinions on it. Well, good morn!"
Aria turned on her heel and jogged back to the shelter in time for Majora to finish the soup.
"Smells wonderful!" Aria complimented, dropping her supplies by Majora's. Her stomach grumbled as she sat beside Majora- subconsciously giving Travis a wide berth. She felt the heavy rupee pouch on her hip. "I need to give you and Stormbreaker your share of the reward," she addressed Majora.

 

With all the grace of a starved bear, Aria dug into her meal. "Mmmm," she moaned, not slowing down in the least. She barely remembered to swallow before speaking. "This is so good! Way better than unseasoned bear jerky!" Aria returned to her meal with gusto- restraining herself from licking the plate with no small amount of effort. She put the now empty plate down at her feet and sighed happily. "That was so good! You can cook anytime!"

As the group was finishing their own plates, Aria spoke up. "I'm going to do laundry, so if you need anything cleaned- just put it in a pile near the doorway. You're on your own for undergarments though. But I have extra soap if you need it." Aria excused herself and ducked outside and out of sight to get changed out of her travel wear. She frowned as she pulled out the light dress her mother had insisted she pack.
"Why blue, mother?" Aria complained as she quickly took off her tunic. Luckily her chest bindings were ok and Aria slipped the dress on over her head. She tugged it into place before taking off her trousers and boots underneath it. Aria wiggled her toes in the grass as she picked up her discarded clothing.
A dress, of all things, Aria huffed to herself. But at least it was fairly modest- going to her knees and not having such a low neckline. She still felt awkward in it and it was not that comfortable unlike a tunic and trousers. But a small part of her was looking forward to seeing Majora's reaction to her dressing a little more feminine- even if it was for just a day while her clothes dried.
Aria bundled the clothes up into a ball and walked back inside. "Sorry about that- I wanted to get out of my travel clothes quickly." She laughed, dropping the bundle in the designated spot. She walked back over to Majora and picked up her rupee pouch. "Catch Stormbreaker!" Aria called, throwing over three blue and one red rupee. "Your share of the reward."

Aria felt heat rise to her cheek. "Thanks," she said. "It was my only clean outfit..." She smoothed out the skirt.
Aria busied her hands by gathering the rest of her laundry from her bags before going back outside. She walked a foot into the pond and dumped her clothes in- letting them get sopping wet.
Throwing caution to the wind, Aria knelt in the pond and began to scrub her tunic with the bar of soap. She worked methodically as she indulged in her guilty pleasure- daydreaming. This time, they heavily featured Majora and unbidden, a small smile graced Aria's lips. The world around her faded as she let her guard drop, focusing on her wandering imagination and the laundry she was doing.

 

Satsified with her job, Aria wrung out the excess water from her clothes before laying them on the grass to dry in the sun. Aria peered upwards, noting that it would take some time for them to dry. Aria stood up and stretched, enjoying the warmth of the morning sun. She spend a few moments, twirling around before plucking a leaf from a nearby bush.
She held in daintily against her lips and blew, easing an old melody from her memory.
This melody was passed down her Father's line, generation after generation was taught it- to calm their horses and call them from afar though the name was long lost to history. Aria finished the tune and waited. She raised the leaf again and played the melody.
Wild horses approached, feeling at ease around her though Blueberry was nowhere to be seen. Aria felt panic rise in her chest- the melody worked every time and she knew she played it correctly.
"No, no, no, no," Aria muttered, scanning the fielda, fear gripping her heart.

 

"Blueberry is missing!" Aria exclaimed, hands clenching and unclenching. "I played the melody- an old family secret- but he hasn't shown up yet! He always comes when I play it..." The uncertainity of the situation hit Aria and she bit her lip to stop from crying. "He's never left my side! And now," she gestured before shaking her head, trying to clear her errant emotions, she needed a clear head to think and plot. "Did they teach you any tracking skills?" The they clear to the both of them.

"He's big- standing at 18 hands at the shoulder," Aria replied. "About 6 six- taller than you anyway," she elaborated, moving her hands subconsciously as she continued on. "He's a blue roan with a white mane, tail, and feathers. He has brown eyes but no other distinguishing features. He's about 6 years old and is not gelded."
Aria felt her heart clench but exhaled shaking, easing away from the blind panic. "I think I should sit down, just for a moment," she said faintly and took a seat on a nearby boulder, tucking her head between her knees.
One -Aria inhaled- two -Aria exhaled- three. Aria tried to remember her breathing excuses and all the mediation techniques her mother had taught her...
They never worked anyway
Aria inhaled once more, shoving away her feelings. They would not help her find Blueberry and hopefully she could cleave some monsters to forget her worries later...
Aria raised her head, looking back to Majora. Her expression completely neutral and almost unnaturally different from her normally expressive self.
