You may think this is a no-brainer - and, for many people, it is - but when you open a browser (or any other program that uses a Zoom function, like Microsoft Office), what zoom level do you set it at? I tend to set the Zoom level at 100% all the time, so I know that I can operate by the WYSIWYG principle in case I need to move elsewhere or relocate a file. This becomes especially important for university assignments, whether I'm printing them or submitting them digitally. There are only three exceptions I've ever used for this: :: Adobe Reader tends to set the zoom on its own, to whatever will fit the screen the best. Most of the time this is 100% or very close to it (like 105%), so I don't fiddle with the zoom setting with this due to ease of use. :: On my laptop, I will set Microsoft Excel to 75% zoom. The reason for this is that my laptop screen is already very small, and if I set it to 100%, I won't be able to view as much information at once on the tiny screen. So, in that case, it's more so for me to be able to view more data at once. :: When on my Nintendo 3DS browser (whenever I'm using it, which is pretty rare), I'll set the zoom to be rather high. I don't know the exact number off-hand (as I don't think it gives it to me), but it will tend to be at least 100% - and given how it tends to load pages at about 10% zoom when you input the URL directly, I find that really weird. Perhaps it's all relative. What about the rest of you? I'm more curious about those who have zooms different than 100% personally, but it really doesn't matter too much - share as much as you wish.
Generally, I'm using my tv as a peripheral, so the standard zoom size on this is quite different than the normal zoom my laptop has while browsing. Due to the larger screen size, I'd estimate the zoom size to be about 50-70% depending on the site on my tv compared to the laptop. This is largely appreciated as it allows me to be far more productive and multitask more efficiently, when I choose to do so. Chrome is still set to default (100%) on all sites, it's simply different because of the screen sizes and resolutions. Otherwise, my laptop is set to 50-70% zoom while browsing the internet for the sake of efficiency. I don't tend to use other applications often because most of the work I need accomplished is handled on Chrome, though microsoft word gets an occasional use.
