Burnout sucks. It’s not the same as art block but it feels just as bad. Burnout is when you do something for so long that you lose interest in it. Have you guys ever experienced burnout with art or writing? I’ve experienced burnout a couple of times so I usually give myself a few days or weeks to recover from it before jumping back into art.
Not yet. I can kinda draw whatever I want. Maybe it’s cause I try different poses and stuff that challenge me to make them look good
It’s more like you lose interest in art as a whole. But I’m glad you haven’t experienced it and I hope you never do.
I really often have this problem. When I get a task which isn't really challenging or interesting imo, I need really long to finish it. Luckily I have 3pProjects at one time so mostly I find something else which helps to stay motivated.
I think burnout applies more to school for me and art is my escape. Usually it takes until January for me to feel burnt-out but it’s only October and I already feel pretty overwhelmed to the point where I almost feel numb from schoolwork, so I’ve been using art and writing to take a break from homework.
Ah, so that's what it's called. I've experienced this for almost everything in my life. From old hobbies, to recent ones, I just can't seem to be interested on anything for too long. Hell, even youtube is boring at this point. I have to constantly do new things so that I don't get bored. I have a suspicion that it has something to do with my ADHD, but I can't comirm it.
