As some of you already know, Call of Duty is a first person shooter with a tendency to leave your opponents in a flurry of rage. However, despite the immature and slighty mad community, it's not such a bad franchise of games. Like most addictive games out there at the moment, it makes the player return day after day to achieve a special rank/level/whatever. It's also one of the most popular MLG (Major League Gaming) games out there, and has a very competitive side to it. I, myself, enjoy playing CoD and have raged at it countless times too. Although it's repetitive multiplayer doesn't exactly exclaim awesomeness, it can be a great game to play when you feel like shooting the crap out of people.

Anyway, I want to find out whether you guys play the games at all. If so, do you enjoy it and how would you rank the it? Let me know in the comments below.

If you'd like to post your PSN/Xbox Live username, you're welcome to do so as well.

I've had that game on the Wii but I only played the story mode. I recently got it on the Xbox and I love playing it with my friend! We just played it last night. I had fun playing multiplayer even though I lost.

And ranking like stars? I'm not quite sure. I would probably have to play the game more to decide. I did play the story mode on the Wii but I don't remember much. I'm not sure if I'll play the story mode on Xbox though cause it's a little gory to me and I think I remember enough so most likely not. I guess so far I'd give it a 4 star rank x3 I can imagine multiplayer getting boring though..but so far I enjoy it :)

I think this game franchise is really good... a lot of people I know seem to despise it but I don't think it deserves so much hatred. It's got really impressive graphics and the multiplayer mode is really fun. I would probably rate it 7/10 because it's not exactly my type of game but still really good :D

Its a fun multiplayer with friends, whether being serious or trolling around either angering people or doing stupid stunts... Campaign I've heard isn't worth playing though. Also I know from experience these games suck on the wii, the controls are horrible.

all i can say is that call of duty has i lot of trolls and 7yr old kid that scream and report you if you kill them i play it still with my friends but its more for them not for me.

also its the same thing over and over again with new guns but that's to be expected they could put more thought into the game modes tho.

I don't find it brutal or creative enough, while yes, its fun to play with friends, its just doesn't have the appeal to me that it has for other people. About the brutal part, its not brutal for the kind of game its supposed to be, most of the "brutal" scenes seem to be rather cliche with the "Talk or I'll shoot mindset", though it does have its moments. I do like Black Ops 2 and Ghosts more than the others, though, since they let you fight bots, as well as human players, which is one of the main things that appealed for me when I was younger in Star Wars BattleFront 2.

I don't mind mucking around with friends, but I can't play this by myself. The time I play is with friends playing zombies. Whenever i go on, there are always 7 year olds with mics getting mad when I head shot him with one shot calling me "hacker with aim bot." Then when them kids kill me, they waste a whole clip using the barrett 50 shooting me in the body.

I've given up on it since MW2.

News just in, a video trailer and screenshots of Call of Duty's new current-gen game have been leaked. It goes by the name of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, since Modern Warfare was obviously not Modern enough. Anyway, the lengthy trailer offers scenes from possible campaign missions, new guns and Avatar-like helicopters and drones that you can control. This information was scheduled for this Sunday, but was leaked two days earlier by Destructiod. The hints at a preview of their new game were all over Call of Duty's Twitter and Facebook pages. Activision has since given in to the leaked trailer and screenshots and has offically released the trailer today. You can check out Advanced Warfare in the trailer below. Oh and Kevin Spacey is in it too.

EDIT: This evening Call of Duty, Sledgehammer Games and Activision hosted their official Multiplayer Mode Reveal at Gamescom. The trailer below showcases a whole variety of new abilities, perks, scorestreaks, gameplay and customisation. More in-depth analysis of these trailers can be found on well-known gaming websites.
