So this candy always seems to have controversy linked to it since it always is a love it or hate it. What do you guys think? I really love candy corn, a sweet tasting little treat at the end of the day.
I’m actually more of a brownie, blonde, cookie and cake kind of person. But that doesn’t mean I dislike candy. Twix, Reese’s, M&Ms and Kit kat are my favorites. I’ll ignore everything else
I've never understood the appeal behind candy corn. I think you saw me say this before on the chat, but it doesn't taste like candy or corn (both of which are things I like); instead it tastes like rocks - and is a hard candy to boot. Hard candy tends to have less flavour, so that doesn't tend to do it many favours either. I also don't know why it's so popular either. Maybe it's just intended as a budget throwaway candy? It's small and you can get a lot of pieces of it out - but then again, so is Starburst, and more people like that. But candy corn isn't completely without its fans, after all:
I love candy corn. Sweet and a nice end of fall treat I await every year. I just don't understand why the call it candy corn because it looks nothing like corn. Still doesn't take away from the fact that it's great.
I love candy corn! But because so many people hate it, I can hardly ever find it. Even the last few years I went trick or treating, I don't think I got any.
Pretty much this. I'll eat it if it's available, but I won't go out of my way to obtain some. I also don't get why it's called 'candy corn'...
I seem the be in the minority when I say I dislike candy corn. It just... doesn't taste right, I dunno.
There's this mix you can get somewhere that has pretzels, peanuts, and a bunch of other salty things mixed in with candy corn. Salty foods make them taste even better.
I don't like it at all. It's just...weird? It's too sweet for me and the texture is super waxy to me.
I loved it as a kid for it's OTT sugary sweetness, but as I've grown up it's begun to clog my stomach whenever I eat it and I get a stomachache. Makes me sad.
I didn't know there was actually wax in it. Still, it should be okay if you don't eat a ton of it at once.
Yeah, it's like a digestible wax (Not like the stuff in candles LOL) I can still eat it, but not in the heaping mouthfuls I did as a kid XD
I love the taste of candy corn but I cannot eat it without vomiting for some reason so I just don't eat it at all
I've never seen any here I think so it might not be something the stores even sell where I live, because of that I've never had any as I've been unable to find it.
I never ever even seen them aside from on youtube video's or when you guys talk about it, but this thread isn't exactly making me want to taste it.
I've never tried it, I've never seen it sold here but I don't have a sweet tooth so I probably wouldn't like it.
