Do you prefer to have your floors with or without carpets? Does it depend on the room in question, or is the flooring in your home the same everywhere? If you prefer one over the other, why?
With carpets, do you prefer fluffy or fuzzy carpets? Is there a certain colour you like and have in your home? One you don't like?
For wooden/tiled floors, which of the two do you like more? Do you like patterned flooring, or standard wood/flat colour?

Every room in my house bar the living room, both bathrooms, and the kitchen are all carpeted. Even my stairs are covered in tons of carpet. I usually prefer carpeting because it's way easier to install and costs way less than tiling does, hence only one room in my house being tiled. I really enjoy fuzzy carpeting because it's much easier to walk on for me. We have all different coloured carpeting, usually ranging from blue to purple. I love timed flooring SO much more than wooden flooring because with wood it takes freaking forever. I love patterned flooring (who doesn't?) because it adds to the atmosphere of the room. Both my bathroom floors look more or less like this and my kitchen floor looks similar to this.

With the exception of one bathroom (which is tiled with something I don't know), the garage (which has a concrete floor), and the kitchen (which has a wooden floor), all floors in my house are carpeted. After living in this house for many many years, I've grown to hate carpeting. I'd much rather the floors be wooden, because they are far easier to clean, and when they do get dirty, not only is it more noticeable, it's not as unsightly as a dirty carpet. The appearance of dirt seeping into fabric is horrible; it's unsightly and it's very tricky (if not impossible) to remove. This is why the kitchen and the bathroom remain the only places that are regularly clean, floor-wise.

...So on the day that I get a place of my own, all the floors will be wooden. And, if they aren't, I shall make them so.

you really are running out of ideas, aren't you?

I'm a wooden floor person they're easier to clean and you can surf down them :P

Wooden floors just seems so much more, modern. They feel cleaner, smarter and it also says "I have wooden floors and I don't do a full 360 banana peel slip on them". THAT is an achievement.

Our entire house is carpeted, except for the kitchen, garage, and bathrooms. But while carpet is quieter and more comfortable for me whenever I'm barefoot, I've always liked the idea of having wood or tiles throughout the house; something about them is just a little more attractive, and I don't like having carpeted stairs because of the few times there have been where I've nearly slipped on them while wearing socks.

The majority of the floors of the house I'm living in at the moment are not carpeted. 80% are stone/normal tiles, 10% are wooden tiles, and the remaining 10% is carpeted. I prefer carpeted flooring as it's nicer to walk on, especially during cold weather.

Oh carpet definitely. So much nicer to walk on, and makes the room seem a lot "fuller" Now a throw rug over hardwood is lovely because then it adds a nice pattern to the floor

I like wooden floors because they're easier to walk on and clean...but fluffy carpets all the way. I'm the kind of person that walks around my house barefoot, so carpet is a nice feeling. It's also good if you like to play videogames but not sit on a sofa, so carpet where necessary please!

Most of the floors in my house are made of polished cement, slate and granite. My house is made on top of a deep water well and small amount of water seeping up and the humidity in Sri Lanka results in a floor that is always cool to the touch. It's really nice since it's usually pretty hot otherwise and I think carpeting would just make it worse, to be honest.

I do not really mind if floors are carpeted or wooden. My house does not have any form of carpet whatsoever due to some family members being allergic to dust mites. Tiled and wooden flooring does make the house seem cooler, which is a little problem for me because I get cold very easily.

Used to have carpets in every bedroom of the house, it was a nightmare to clean and it also looked ugly (old house), later got synthetic wooden tiles and they make the house look decent, also are much much easier to clean. The non-bedroom parts of the house are actually made up of cork tiles, quite good since it doesn't feel cold in the winter nor hot in the summer, though they can quite easily get dents from sharp objects.

I love solid wooden floors so much, mainly because I can put on my socks and slide across with ease. Carpets hurt to slide across, so I think they are boring. If I absolutely must have a carpet, I'd prefer something soft and fuzzy, preferably a soft color.

I used tiled floors because my house used tiled floors all over the place, and it looks somewhat pretty to have one. Even though my house don't use carpeted floors, I prefer carpeted floors much more. especially if it's a fluffy ones, because it looks more comfortable when walked to.

I like tile floors. They are way easier to clean up after and they don't smell if you spill water on it. Plus, it's so fun to go around in socks. You can't slide on carpets! THAT CARPET BURN TOO! No thanks, I'll stick to tile thank you very much.

My house is about half and half, and I like it. Carpet is nice and comfortable for feet, and wooden flooring is really smooth and nice for an area like the kitchen when you need to sweep or mop. I'll definitely say that I like the carpet part of my house more because it is more comfortable to walk on, though.
