    New Legends + Shiny Boost!

    To celebrate a successful Community Month 2018 and Pokémon's 20th birthday, we've decided to release the Legendary Titans for you to hunt down! ! That's right! Regirock, Registeel and Regice are all roaming Lake Valor so hunt away! There is also a flash "Shiny Boost" around Lake Valor so get some Pokeballs and see if you can nab any of the rare Shiny Pokémon!

    • Regirock, Registeel and Regice are roaming around Lake Valor alongside their Shiny forms! Their encounter rate will slightly decrease in a week so hurry up and begin searching!

    • A "Shiny Boost" has been activated all across Lake Valor and you are more likely to find shinies! This increase in Shiny encounter chance will only last for 24 hours from this post so hurry up and take advantage of it!

    • The location of the Legendary Beasts (Entei, Suicunce and Raikou) has changed again! Look around to see where they may be!

    1. Start as if you're donating PokePoints to someone (If you don't know how to do this step, just ask).

    ...More on-topic, I hope I can find that shiny Horsea I've been dreaming about. I know the rate has been increased, but probably not by too much. It would still be low, after all.

    I can attest to that for sure. The rates are low but if anything, the current rate has nearly doubled so it should lead to more shinies being found!

    But twice 1/4000 is still a very small number. Still, I'm not too surprised, but any boost is better than no boost at all.

    I don't blame you for being salty about that, that's a lot of PP down the drain. My Registeel didn't put up a massive fight but I still had to use about 18 balls to get it, ending up having to use ultras as I ran out of the regular ones.

    The thing about being at the mercy of the RNG is that you're at the mercy of an RNG. It's extremely finicky and decided by what is in effect a roll of the die.
    However, despite being inanimate, I believe that it's possible for RNG to exhibit both glee and pity in equal parts.
