Champion Cynthia

I liked how she showed up to give you important items to help advance the story and gives you a lil history. She was also the hardest champ for me because of me not bothering to fight with anything but my starter xD

 

The thing about Cynthia is because her Pokémon are pretty strong and well diverse, you HAVE to know what you're doing, and your Pokémon has to be reasonably well trained, in my opinion. Because one mistep, and you'll be eaten alive by her Garchomp, haha. Fortunately you can try, say, setting something up when you go against her Spiritomb, but, it also has a nasty habit on using Double Team, so, that could be also your downfall if you're not careful.

Honestly, I do love her very much; she's actually my favourite Champion of all! Because for one thing, I do love her appearance from both D/P and from B2W2, whoo. Also, she tends to use a lot of really nice Pokémon like well, other than Garchomp: Lucario, Milotic, Togekiss, Roserade, Glaceon, Gastrodon, etc. She has quite the diverse team that changes here and there, only adding to the challenge! I think she was the hardest too, well, not by a lot since a lot of the other champions held their weight too, like Iris and Lance.

 

She is my favorite champion. A very good team. Her spiritomb gave me many troubles because i wasnt able to hit it hard. As character she is really interesting, i hope to know more about her soon.

 

I always discovered that Cynthia's main problem wasn't her Garchomp... it was her Togekiss. It was super effective against my whole team in back to back playthroughs, and I had the hardest time killing it because of how many hits it took. Aside from the accursed Togekiss, Cynthia wasn't too hard. I found Steven challenging with that Mega Metagross tho.

 

Cynthia was one of the hardest Champions for me personally. Garchomp gave me the most trouble in Pearl, then Togekiss in Platinum. I liked her, she was interesting.

 

Like Prosecutor said, Togekiss was the main problem since it has great defenses, that thing destroy 2 of my Pokémon T-T.
Her Garchomp wasn't that hard, by luck of destiny i could increase Gardevoir's stats in battle to the maximun(Calm mind x6) and then "Psychic" and her Garchomp goes down.

But aside from that, Cynthia is an excellent champion she's challenging especially in the B2W2 since all Pokémon are in the same level.

 

Cynthia is an amazing Champion, in my opinion. She actually has a fairly challenging team, and she also had some influences on the plotline of the game. Compare her to Diantha, for example, and you will immediately see the differences in characters. You meet Cynthia various times throughout the game, and not just to have a nice little conversation with you. She's a very strong Pokémon trainer with a fitting team, and that's what makes her awesome

 

I would love to see a diamond and pearl remake and hear Cynthia's new team

 

She is still my favorite champion for the simple reason that I never had so much trouble beating someone. She is so powerfull, in the battle that I beat her in, I think I used 5 revives and 30 hyper potions.

 

Cynthia is definitely one of my favorite champions, and has probably my favorite team out of any Champion we've had. Her team is incredibly diverse and terrifying, and you really do have to know what you're doing, because any misstep can lead to a very quick defeat. I loved her team as well in BW when you could battle her, it was even harder then because of the raised levels, haha.

I do love her involvement in the story, as well- and how she's very invested in the region's mythology. It's always nice to see champions who actually get involved with the story of the game as you progress.

 

I remember having some issues, namely with her Milotic. There was Aqua Ring... then Mirror Coat, which caught me off guard. Other than the Milotic of terror, no real problems with her teammates.

 

Cynthia will always remain one of the most difficult champions to defeat for me right alongside Lance in R/B/Y. She uses either really bulky or fast, hard-hitting Pokémon that cover a wide range of types but what pained me to tackle most was her Garchomp because guh that attack stat. Spiritomb didn't have a weakness back then so opening up with it was a good decision on the creators' part and overall I'm really happy with her team, design (she's gorgeous!), and story involvement overall.. she was handled very well.

Cynthia, I miss you.

 

She was a pretty big challenge for me, but I think it was largely down to the fact that I was expecting her to be a type specialist and she ended up having a well-rounded team. Defeating her wasn't particularly difficult persay, but the first couple times it took me a while P:

 

Cynthia had a really cool team and overall is a great champion. He looks so fancy and elegant. I'd love to see what she looks like in 3D.
