Chespin, Fennekin or Froakie?

Chespin seems like the funniest and most creative one, he also kinda reminds me of Goofy so that's a plus as well.

 

Eh? This thread feels like Deja-vu to me. Hm. Well, right now it's Fennekin I guess but to be honest I don't care much for any of them. Evolved forms will make the deal for me.

 

It's just an opinion of type preference and appearance.

Fenniken because I like fire types.

 

Gen 6 is probably the worst gen when it comes to starters for me. I always had a favourite during every other generation except this one. Although, If I had to chose it would be Froakie. That's until I see what he turns into. The evolved forms are going to be the decision maker for me though. I mean, we play most of the game with the final evolved form anyway.

 

So far I'm going with the majority and picking Fennekin, but my ultimate decision is going to be based on the final evos xp

Yes! I thought each had their own appeal. I could see a lot of personality in the people who chose them and in the Pokémon as well. Obviously Mijumaru was popular with the ladies. It was cute and awesome in the show. Pokabu was also cute and Tsutarja was a stuck up badass. I immediately knew I was going to pick Mijumaru but if I had to pick the others, I would have been just fine with it.

I only liked 5th gen starters for their later forms myself, it's gonna be the same with 6th.

 

I think the designs definitely stood out, but the designs just didn't look good, Oshawott is the only one which I find cute, rest of them are meh.

 

I picked Fennelkin, because, I usually pick the fire types first. I hear in the 6th gen that we may be seeing some very unusual typing for the Pokémon. It should be a great generation though, as I hear there may be a Heracross prevo.

 

I hope there are no prevos this generation, prevos suck. :/ Unless they come with an alternate evolution like Tyrogue, then they're okay.

 

Well there have been mentions that I've been hearing about through different Pokémon sites(not, but some others) that there might be some prevos coming possibly and some of the Pokémon, like Throh and Sawk, are getting a new evolution. But they are just rumors, if i find the list i found of the possible pokes, i'll let you know, pretty cool list that could work.

Well, going off of my habit for always sticking with Grass Starters, I'm going with Chespin.

And honestly, I'm the type of trainer/fan of Pokémon who appreciates every single Pokémon no matter what it is and what it looks like, I don't discriminate...in my opinion all Pokémon are created with equal effort, and as such I give them the respect they deserve. I just don't see what anyone ever has to complain about when it comes to the shape and design, seriously, I don't get why people complain about generation difference at all. I've been a part of the Pokémon experience since the first games and comics came to the US, back when there was no color, and yet I never became like all these genwunners, and I never chose one generation over the other...yes I may choose favorites between the massive numbers of Pokémon, but everyone does..and yes there are some Pokémon that I like much less than al the others, but that's based on the aspect of training. Either way, I stick with grass starters, no matter what they become, because even if they are hideous, which is extremely rare, it's the strategy I put into how the Pokémon battles that amkes the real difference.

Also, considering I play all my games on emulators, I often play more than one game at a time to get different results, so I'll end up picking all three starters when this is over.

 

Just like a lot of others, my final decision comes with final evolutions.
But so far i'm still sticking to either fraokie or chespin. If froakie will bear any resemblance to Jinbe then i'm pretty sure that's exactly what i'll stick with.
Fennekin is out of question because i got sick of seeing it withing the first two days. Like, really, it was everywhere. At one point i even hoped it'll be another fire/ fighting so it finally gets forgotten. Nintendo really just pulled a profit motif with it. Cute little eevee/ zorua clone + fire type = profit.
Unless the evolution will be a fire/ psychic kitsune theme, it's still gonna stay on my "nope" list until opinion change.

 

There sure are going to be a lot of Fennekin users. Why not, though? He's an adorable fire type starter. <3
