My favorite was Chikorita! It seems to be the less favorite but I think it's really cute xD It does make the game a little harder but it can be fun that way ^^

It bounces between Cyndaquil and Totodile for me. Up until HG, it was Cyndaquil because I liked its movesets I could pull with it. However Totodile, along with Ampharos, pretty much ran HG for me until late-Kanto.

i love totodile! such a ferocious little beast. i also like cyndaquil but for the most part i tend to shy away from fire types. i never liked chikorita, i think it just looks dumb lol.

Freaking love chikoritas... the others aren't bad, but chikorita's are darn cute and just really cool, not to mention some odd moves they can learn

Cyndaquil, it starts cute and ends awesome. It's also a fire type which is my favorite type.

Totodile has a special place in my heart. It was my first Pokémon that was all mine. Before that, I only played my cousins old Yellow version with their old Pokémon.

Totodile always had the best moveset period. I always thought Cyndaquil was the cutest, but I always chose Chikorita because I love the Grass-types :D

My vote goes for totodile! I love the little brainless hyper little guy. My love for him grew when ash caught him. He was just so hilarious!

Cyndaquil is my favorite one because it looks the coolest and I usually prefer having fire type Pokémon on my team over water type Pokémon in my in-game teams.

I was going to choose the water starter when I started Crystal, but I accidentally confirmed for Chikorita. I really warmed up to it after that, so now it's my favourite.

Chikorita, though Cyndaquil is also awesome. I don't usually care for the water starters, so sorry Totodile. I liked the challenge of raising Chikorita (practically most of the gyms have advantages over it, and not to mention Team Rocket's Poison types), and I love how Meganium had defensive options like dual screens. Grass starters usually fit my playstyle more. I just wish Meganium could learn Leech Seed on its own.

Totodile is one of my favorite starters, but I also love Cyndaquil. Chikorita's always been among my least favorite Pokémon...it's just....what is it? It creeps me out....no; Go away Chikorita I don't love you.

Seriously though, I think Totodile would have to be my preferred one. I love water types, and that's always been one of my favorite lines.

Yeah, I can see how it could be creepy. It sort of looks like a lima bean weed thing with big eyes. But I don't know - I always thought it was kinda cute, haha.

Cyndaquil for ever, I love their squishy little mole faces. Also, burning things, burning is good.

I'm a sucker for reptiles so Totodile is my 10/10 choice. Plus it's adorable I mean ahhhhh how are gators not the cutest things? Chikorita would be second, because it's still a reptile at a point and I like grass types. Cyndaquil's my least favorite, but I can't say I dislike it. It's a pretty cool mon and the evolutions are really nice.

I like Cyndaquil. He's cute, and he stays cute, for one thing. I like that he goes from Shrew, to ferret, then to badger. I remember when I first found out that Thyplosion was a badger, probably a honey badger, I thought it was cute. Now, because of a certain video, I can no longer think of Typhlosion without thinking, "The honey badger don't care!"
