What was your childhood dream? Did you want to marry a certain person, or get a certain job? Did you want to break some world record, or perhaps live in a certain house?

It may come as a staggering surprise that I never had a childhood hero or dream. I was a "living in the now" kid, always living life to its fullest without worry about the future...

That habit hit me like a brick in the face in puberty. But my scars are mostly healed and my metaphorical face kinda looks human now.

I wanted to marry a boy when I was a kid, but that didn't turn out too well haha. Honestly, looking back on it I really pinned my hopes on marrying the boy of my dreams, but you know life goes on and not everything turns out the way you hope. I mean the guy doesn't even talk to me how can I possibly marry such a guy, even if he's cute.

I was a dreamer. I didn't know what I really wanted to do or be, but it was going to be grand.

Teenagehood with all the emotional instability it brought crushed any dregs of dreams I had.

My dream as a child was to become an Infantryman. That's changed (sorta) xD

First I wanted to become an astronaut, then a zookeeper, then a professional football player, then a pilot, then a historican. Now I'm not sure what to do anymore and a minimum wage job is probably what I'll end up with in the end. Cue the Green Day song!

I remember wanting to be a singer of some sort when I was younger lol. I know now that it isn't the best decision to make, but it looked like a very real possibility to the kid version of me.

I wanted either to be a secret agent or master thief, or alternatively part of an elite team of some kind, probably within those two themes (world-saving secret agent team or Ocean's Eleven heist squad).

I think the thing that got me with those two was the feeling of deciding what to do own my own. It wasn't my parents or anyone else who would tell me what to do, but me and my friends. I would decide when to sneak into the place, I would decide how to infiltrate security, I would decide what measures to take against hostiles. That and the thrill of doing sneaky things without getting caught. If I can sneak into the secret base and steal the artifact, disable the missile, or whatever it was, and not get caught? That would be such a rush.

(PS: If anyone wants to start an Ocean's -like team, I am down for it, period.)

When I was in the fifth grade I've wanted to work at NASA or a similar aerospace-ish organisation. Thankfully, I suppose, that dream hasn't changed. I still do want to do all that but now it feels like I have even more dreams. I want to be a entertainer, perhaps an actor, a programmer, web development, to be specific, and a businessman. It's rather confusing sometimes.

I wanted to be a thief/rogue, then I wanted to be a pilot. And of course, I always wanted to live in a fantasy world, ever since I read my first fantasy book(Secrets of Droon), my favorite(Eragon), and also VR(Ready Player One, Sword Art Online, Log Horizon) seemed cool.

    Right now? Aerospace engineer

I still remember that I wanted to make a good film, which involves action or some fantasy themes akin to Power Rangers or several Magical Girls anime. At least, that was when I was a kid.
