As technology is developing into higher and higher ranks, we have the ability to store tons of files into a cloud where all our uploaded data is available via the internet. There are so many different cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, etc.

Do you use cloud storage in any way? What are you using cloud storage for? Which cloud storage service or services do you use?

I'm a big fan of Google Drive and Google Docs. As a writer, it's a tool that I use frequently. It's amazing to be able to type up a draft while other people are watching and ready to give advice or make quick edits when I mess up something.

I also use Google Drive to back up my computer files in case something happens and I either need to use those files from another computer or my computer breaks.

No, I prefer having all my data on a hard drive because signal sucks at my grandparents. The Internet there randomly cuts out, so I feel that it's just easier to not use the Cloud.

I don't understand the Cloud and everyone I talk to tells me "NO ONE UNDERSTANDS THE CLOUD!!"

I like using Google Drive since I can access it from any computer that has an internet connection and in case something horrible happens to my computer it's still safe. :)

I use ICloud, just because it provides a backup for my phone XD which I need, because I live on that thing and I don't think my life would be great if it crashed

I use Cloud Storage to backup the files for my Game, since I pretty recently suffered a horrible problem regarding the files. It's a personal cloud hosted by a friend of mine, so I trust it pretty well. :)

The cloud is basically a bunch of virtual machines running on the same computer. Usually, each virtualisation, as is the very nature of the tecnique takes up a portion of the host machine's resources. Thus, the cloud lets you 'outsource' computer based services, amongst other things, e.g., hdd space. Everything is connected via the internet, though the big boys like Amazon are looking into offline cloud computing...which would be similar to grid computing, I suppose.

I personally use Google Drive, especially for things like documents since you can have other collaborate on it as much as you want. It's available on the go, and is pretty trustworthy.
I also use dropbox. It's really handy and easily uploads files quickly.

Dropbox is very handy for when I need to have something ready for use at another computer so I've used that a lot during school and work - it's my baby. My college classes required it so that was when I'd started getting adjusted and found out how amazing it was ahah. Definitely much more convenient than small external hard drives! Have tons of those 4GB ones lying around.

I use DropBox all the time. In school projects and in free time! Such a great thing to have!
