Club Nintendo to be Discontinued this Year

this is sad news, always liked club nintendo. i don't know what they plan on "loyalty program" but. hopefully they don't be soo cheap about it. Not getting my hopes up that the "new program" can replace club nintendo tho.

 

I'm disappointed that Club Nintendo is closing its doors, but I'm hopeful that the new loyalty systems they make afterwards will be just as good, if not better! I'll probably start registering old games of mine en masse soon for the sake of getting the coins from them.

 

That's a huge shame. Some of the benefits that came with having a long term account were really good, so this is sad news.

 

It is nice to get Flipnote 3D for free, though :/

 

This is depressing, but expected.
I remember getting some of the most amazing rewards, like a button collection for the Mario anniversary, shoe laces, a giant Mii card. They were and are so fun. Unfortunately the rewards that came with the loyalty of Club Nintendo got lesser in quality as lime went on, but it's still a sad thing to see it faze out. I hope the replacement will be cost efficient for Nintendo as well as just as cool as Club Nintendo was.

 

Hmm, I liked club nintendo, and I liked how they had various promos with the new games, but there was something about it that bugged me sometimes. I'm going to miss it, but I'm also intrigued to see what this new one is like (hopefully without all those frustrating surveys).

 

Because I rarely get new games, it won't really affect me. But it will be sad for my IRL friend who loves Club Nintendo.

I'm displeased by the announcement. I'm 10 coins away from a Platinum membership. I think I'll wait to spend my coins at the very last minute, though. I expect them to feature the best prizes on the final month before its discontinuation.

 

I'm just as sad as the rest of you guys, but let's look on the bright side, Flipnote 3D is finally being released after being in development for like what, 4 years? Frankly, it's been so long that I almost forgot Flipnote Studio was even a thing that existed!

 

I didn't do to much with this, but it's still sad to see something like this go :/

 

aaaa I read about this some days ago and was very surprised; not at all what I expected. Though I'm not losing out on much since there were hardly any good prizes for those of us who actually used Club Nintendo here in the US, ahah. I was platinum once before and couldn't decide what to spend my coins on. Already got what I'd have really wanted too, which is my beautiful 'lil pink Animal Crossing 3DS pouch. ♥

 

I am a big fan of Club Nintendo and it is quite a shame to see it leave. I didn't even get to cash in my stuff yet

 

I'm kind of sad that it's being discontinued, but I'm looking forward to what Nintendo has in store for the future! I liked Club Nintendo quite a bit, and I have a ton of rewards from them, so I'm definitely going to try to get Platinum before the end of March.

 

I mean, as big of a loss Club Nintendo may be, I think it explains the lack of good rewards. I hope their alternative gives us some MUCH better options.

 

I really enjoy using club Nintendo, but now that it's ending there are a lot of new things going online in the Australian store (LOZ ALBW Soundtrack CD With music sheets) (Super Mario Galaxy CD) and that's only in the last few days i've checked so there's gonna be heaps of cool stuff coming up hopefully. And flipnote 3D is a cool bonus

 

It's sad to see it go but at least they got some pretty cool rewards to make up for it (in the American one at least)
only I hardly have enough coins for anything.... (if anyone got unused codes they wouldn't mind sharing I'd be very thankful for them)
also considering they already have actual 3DS titles up there right now, I'm wondering what will be the gold and plat rewards since they pretty much have to top what they give to everyone
