Thanks for donating to help sustain the site. I would probably do so as well if I actually had money to spare, but sadly I don't. I do not however, understand why you are also being congratulated. You gave money and got a rank because of it. It's not like you ran a marathon or something. Don't take this the wrong way, just trying to make a point.

 

A congratulation can double as a thank-you, right? That's how I've always read off topics like these (though it gets a bit different when other people donate on behalf).
Accolades or otherwise, I just choose to be thankful for an opportunity to express gratitude for someone who wants to help contribute to LV's continued lifespan, even if the thread title isn't quite perfect.

 

I understand what you mean, but this wasn't the point. I gave money to help this site. I like the new rank and features but it is the site that comes first.

That wasn't really what I meant either, sorry for the confusion. I knew it was for the site, I was just saying that it doesn't make much sense to me to say congratulations to someone for being generous.
