Console Wars

I honestly think that this is an accurate representation of how most arguments go.


And I honestly agree. I think that Microsoft rely too much on other people, often receiving as much negative criticism as positive. They don't have many games that can be called up at will that are amazing XBox exclusive games other than HALO and Gears of War. Playstation and Sony on the other hand boasts much more diverse games, many of which are titles that are extremely well known, either Sony titles or cross platform series that have a place on Sony consoles (Playstation All-Stars is a great example). They are able to find a balance between mature and gritty games, fun lighthearted games, or a combination of both.

But I always say Nintendo for the reason that they try to be unique and not boast that this has a more powerful processor than this and so on. I like that the games on the console are enjoyable almost all the time, with plenty of opportunities to try out a new concept. Honestly, the Wii U is such an under appreciated idea, both by the idea of playing on two screens at once on a home console or being able to play while other people want to use the TV. And Nintendo boasts the most memorable library of games in my opinion, even with games like Bioshock Infinite and Last of Us, Nintendo manages to make memorable games without the MA15+ or higher tag. And now they are trying to dip their feet into the realm of MA15+ titles like No More Heroes and Bayonetta (Both of which I plan to play at some point).

 

Console wars were fun... when i was 12.

Really there is no point in them. All consoles have pros and cons. But arguing about them is just stupid.
Also who needs consoles when you have a PC? Exclusives? n my opinion Exclusives are the most anti-consumer thing in gaming and should me eradicated.

But that is a debate for a another time.

 

I honestly prefer Nintendo and Microsoft over Sony, but only slightly. I feel like these arguements are pointless, because, why can't we be entitled to our opinions? No one is better than the other; That is an opinion. You can't prove an opinion. That gif up there is actually really accurate; Most of the arguements just crap on the other person or console instead of liking the one they're backing up.

But anyways, I'm fine with really any console, but if I had to choose, Wii U. Wii U has plenty of games adapted onto it with original games, too. I love the concept of "playing while the other watches TV". I always thought about it, but I never knew how to do it, and the Wii U brought that forth.

 

Competition is healthy in any market, but when it boils down to the fanboys and their little flame wars, it gets annoying quick. I know people who are my age or even older who still participate in these immature, redundant wars. It's all a matter of opinion in the end. If you like the library of Xbox games more than PlayStation or Nintendo games, get an Xbox! Like the PlayStation more? Do the opposite. Same applies for any and all consoles that currently out in the market. Coming online and bashing a system you aren't fond of it or its players, isn't the wise route to go. I'm personally not a fan of Xbox consoles, but I don't (or never have I) gone as far as to insult people who have and/or play one. It's redonkulous.

 

I find that console wars are irrelevant. I believe that every person has their own opinion and should not be hurt or discriminated for it. It is, as stated, ridiculous! But if I had to choose one, it would be the all time best Nintendo. I mean, the only games I see in EB Games for XBox and PlayStation are MA15+, and Nintendo manages to make amazing games for G and PG rates! And plus, I feel Nintendo games have more.. uh, connection and focus on story and characters.

 

Console wars are really silly like??? Just go for whatever console has the most games you want. PlayStations, Xbox's, PC's, Nintendo consoles, all of them are great, and each has something that sets it apart from the rest. When people get into those little baby war fights its kinda pathetic honestly.
I myself prefer the Xbox 360 and Wii/Wiiu systems. Why? Because I love the games on them. So, why bash down somebody who prefers the PlayStation? I mean if they're having fun I have no right to try and butt in and tell them that they are wrong for liking something different.


Besides if a person really wants to just smash the other side down for just processing power (I'm kinda directing this at the xbox/playstation war), then the PC does indeed have them beat, specially if the person crafted the computer for gaming. I mean I know both sides get whiny over this bit of info, but it is kinda true in many cases. Though not all. But that's just hardware in the end anywho, which really isn't that big of a deal. But they sure seem to think that it is lol.

 

Personally, I think console wars are extremely good for the gaming market and gaming community.

Competition makes gaming companies like Nintendo, Microshitsoft and Sony wake up and say "Whoa! We need to give these people better stuff in order to make money!" It also makes those companies realize that the mobile gaming market is getting extremely popular--gamers aren't as committed to buying a gaming-dedicated system as they were before.

The more a company listens to the gaming community and these "console wars", the better off the companies and communities will be--companies get money, and communities get better products. Such is the system of gaming economics.

 

It is my honest opinion that the WiiU is the best of the three: PS4, Xbox One, and WiiU. I get a lot of hate and crap for this, but console wars can get really annoying since we are human beings and therefore we hate changing our opinions for anything.

Console wars are really old and I'm tired of vouching for my favorite systems, so most of the time, I don't even bother anymore.

 

I've always been a Nintendo guy with a soft spot for Sony because I grew up with a PS2. I've never owned a Microsoft system and as I result I've always preferred Nintendo and Sony. You guys probably already known which Nintendo franchises I like but Sony has Little Big Planet, Ape Escape (which I played a lot as a kid), Jak and Daxter, and Sly Cooper, all of which I'm a big fan of. Microsoft has never really stood out to me because I'm not interested in any of their console exclusive games. That doesn't mean its bad it just isn't for me.

 

And then I come with the Alienware Alpha in my stead.
