What is your family's weirdest, craziest, most unique family traditions? For my family, it is the ninja bread men that we make every Christmas season. It's basically gingerbread men, except we decorate them as bloody and gory ninjas and warriors. We've even started making them little weapons. I think the tradition started because one time when my family made gingerbread men, the one that I was decorating had its arm fall off, so I just took some red frosting and used it at the edge to make it look like the guy had just had its arm cut off. I then bit off his head and did the same thing. My little moment of strange creativity soon became my family's yearly tradition.
Interesting. This isn't crazy, per say, but every year, my grandmother gets everyone in the family a calendar for Christmas, and we normally guess what people get. It's normally just horses or cars or dogs or something. But one year my dad decided to mess with everyone and switched out my uncle's calendar for a one direction calendar. My grandmother was less than amused, but everyone else in the room, including my uncle, were quite the opposite.
We put a pickle ornament on our Christmas tree and whichever kid finds it gets candy. Also we have over 60+ nutcrackers we put out for decoration every Christmas. Every single one gets a spot in our house. Too many.
