I feel like this month's theme was a bit harder to work around than normal (I know I couldn't come up with a solid concept, at least) but we still had two solid entries despite that. Now it's time to pick which one you like best. Spoiler: Exeggavem & Matravem (Gazi) I had some fun with this one. Spoiler: Exeggavem & Matravem Exeggavem, the hatched Pokémon. Typing: Flying/Grass Pokédex entry: This Pokémon takes after the Pokémon that hatched an exeggcute. It will follow Matravem everywhere to try to mimic and impress her. Matravem, the mother Pokémon. Typing: Flying/Grass Pokédex entry: If this Pokémon sees a set of exeggcute its instinct will be to try to hatch them. This motherly Pokémon is very stern, but will fiercely protect any exeggcute or exeggavem that she takes under her wing. I've seen there being a bit of a debate about whether exeggcute are eggs or seeds. If they're seeds, then exeggutor works as an evolution. If they're eggs though, a bird evolution would make more sense, hence the alternative evolution. Spoiler: Gorillakin & Gorthader (HiddenLore) A bit of an odd design I’ve come up with, Spoiler: Gorillakin Line Wild Gorillakin are raised one on one with their mother. She will spend time training the young child in important combat techniques. This training will continue until the Gorillakin can defeat Gorthader in combat. When this happens, gorillakin can finally evolve. Prizes: 1st Place: 100 pp 2nd Place: 75 pp
Gotta go with Gazi this time around for the motherly theme. I like the idea of this split evo going in a very different direction from the original but still maintaining the feel of the original line with the colors. I would cut the middle stage personally but otherwise this is a fun concept. Though I love the evolution method for Gorillakin and Gorthader I feel like the aspect of motherhood is left a bit too the side, great idea for an evo method though.
