I've noticed a common trend among artists. Some people tend to draw only humans and very little animals or creatures, or vice versa. I've also seen artists who draw quite a bit of both. Which do you prefer? Do you prefer drawing humans, creatures, or both? I personally draw animals and other creatures because that's what I grew up drawing. I've barely practiced humans so of course the quality of that aren't isn't nearly as good as my animals are. I would like to change that, but all in due time.
Oh creatures for sure! I find them far easier to draw than humans. But even if I had them human-drawing skillz, I think I'd still prefer creatures because they're so diverse.
I find animals far easier to draw because I lived on a farm for about 10 years growing up, and therefore sketched a lot of the animals for practice. But I am trying to get better a drawing humans. The reason for this being that most of my original characters are humans and I'd love to be able to draw them all.
ya I draw animals just because they are so unique with not only there looks but in the behaviors. But I draw people once every three weeks. But drawing humans is a lot of work and Time. I'm teaching my friends how to draw. But don't draw humans it might look easy but is very hard like completing the hole Pokédex. I repeat it is harder then you think.
Yeah , i mostly draw Creatures , because they are WAY easier than Humans except for Some Creatures like Birds and Dogs , i find them really hard to draw
Everybody so far's said animals. Huh. I kinda lean towards human a bit, but I end up doing some animals in my fakemon, so...yeah. Kinda a mix, but overall I've done a good bit more on the human side.
Everyone's reasoning so far is that human's are a lot harder than animals. But to someone who only draws humans it might be quite the opposite lol. It's more of what you feel most comfortable with I think. I do suggest that if y'all are learning how to draw humans to keep it up. It gets easier overtime I promise. Also I've noticed Squidy! It's good to have a nice balance of things to draw.
I like drawing both! But I struggle a little with quadrupeds? I try hard though because I wanna draw cats a lot. There's just. So many legs.
Gonna be the combo breaker here and say that I draw humans more than animals. Sometimes when I have to doodle an animal for a piece it just comes out as really mediocre because I don't know how animal anatomy really works. Plus I've only drawn humans for the past 3 years now??? Also YES drawing humans gets so much easier the more you practice!! I used to struggle so much with humans when I started drawing but now drawing a human takes me less than 5 minutes to do it well. Human anatomy isn't very complex when you look deep into it...
I end up drawing humans more, because I usually just draw fanart, and most of the characters that I like are humans. I can draw animals though, but I mostly just stick to humans. They're easier for me to draw, even though anime style humans are usually more complicated than anime style animals.
I think for me it used to be humans, until I actually started looking and drawing creatures. Now it is probably a fairly even mix and I try to work on both
I draw both, and find difficulties in drawing both. Most of my art, however, is of humanoid characters and I'm currently practicing human anatomy instead of animal anatomies.
I can draw most creatures pretty easily, and even though I can draw humans, I find them much more difficult.
I draw way less humans lmao. But sometimes I do, like recently I drew Agent 8 a bit. (ye I know she's an Octoling, seesh that still counts.)
