And no, I'm not talking about mythical critters
What sort of person are you when it comes to day and night? Do you prefer the night times quiet darkness, or do you prefer the light of day? Do you have a particular fear connected to either?

Personally I love the night. I love daylight too, but night time has a certain mystical quality about it. It's always so peacefully quiet, and the coolness I greet warmly (wait, does that sentence make sense?). Day time is just too busy sometimes, and thus can be quite a drain, but at night you can just relax.

I personally enjoy twilight and dusk the most, that in between time where ancient creatures of old rise the sun rises and sets, it's cool and refreshing yet has those nice pastel overtones.

Nighttime is quite beautiful, I'll take that over sunlight. I love rain and storms over sunlight, so perhaps it makes sense.

The sun does suck. The sun scorches the land, dehydrates the body, and burns the skin. The moon, on the other hand, is nice. She's calm, doesn't feel the need to visit every single day, and never hurts. Seriously, when's the last time anyone got a sunburn at night?

That said, I like nighttime for reasons beyond what I stated above. For one, I like cold better than heat, and nighttime has more of that. Another reason, traffic is better. A 60 minute commute of angry traffic jams for the 9-5 can become 20 minutes empty-road zen bliss for a graveyard shift commute (I know from experience). Further, I like solitude, quietness, and watching the sunrise. All of those are easier to do as a night owl.

On average I prefer the night to the day. While there are few things that beat a sunny day with a nice cool breeze, most of the time the sun is just very bright and hot without cloud cover. I myself prefer the cooler temperatures, so I feel more at home and energised when the moon is in the sky.

The only real downsides to the night is that there is less light to see things, and I'm asleep for most of it so I'm not able to enjoy it. But the reason there's less light is because I keep eating it.

Honestly, I prefer pitch black nights lol
Part of the reason I hate the sun is because it makes light

    And then there's me.

Sure, there's nothing quite like stargazing but I am a morning bird and I love the daytime and the light more. I bask in the heat of the sun, and most the year, it's nicer during the day than the night. I get cold easily anyway.

    Haha, you said 'outside'.

In truth, there's nothing wrong with being different. She probably has a greater inclination to heat, rather than most of the other posters here, who have more of an inclination to cold. Her heat tolerance may be higher as well, possibly from living in warmer areas for longer (though, the two aren't exactly related - heat tolerance relates to how well your body resists or handles heat, not how much you like it). Plus, there are other reasons besides light and heat difference that make us prefer one of day or night over the other. Not everyone based the preference on those things.

Or perhaps she's secretly a reptile.

I prefer day time because I can get things done. Have you ever walked alone at night? It's scary! I also tend to feel more awake and alert with the sun shining, so I'm more liable to do more of my chores.

Yay! I'm not the only one! Night is scary, since you can barely see anything...

I don't know abut you guys, but I love the lush, atmosheric feeling of nghttime. It's the only time I can get peace and quiet because everyone else is asleep and I can do my things in the peace and quiet of my bedroom. ^.^

I like the warming, enervating atmosphere of a nice sunny day with a gentle breeze. Because of this my favorite season is summer.

I also like the late night because of how serene and relaxing the atmosphere is. It's so much easier to wind down and relax when it's pitch black outside and no one's around to interrupt you.

I don't think the sun is 'bad', in fact I actually think the world looks beautiful in the sun! LOL But as much as I appreciate the sun, I tend to be more active in the night time. I think it's much less about the darkness itself and more about how it's the time I'm typically able to have time to myself and do as I please. I also tend to think deep and spiritually during the late hours. Haha...I think too much.

I love both day and night, anything is beautiful when it comes to nature!

However, if I have to pick one, it would be daytime. And I'm not sure why, but now I have a fear of the night that comes occasionally, though I do love the peacefulness.

My favorite time is 4-6 in the morning, but I don't know if that counts as a night owl or early bird. XD I love the peacefulness of night but I'm also a little afraid of the dark, so 4-6 is perfect because the sky is still a bit dark and has the same tranquility, but there's nothing that scares me and I can hear the birds singing when the sun begins to rise.

Considering the weather here is always bad, I have say the night is my favorite time of day(?) Personally, I find it way easier to relax knowing there's not a lot of people active at that time. Taking walks is more comfortable in the evening too. The worst time of the day has gotta be the morning because I, ahem, dislike waking up early. Nowadays I have become accustomed to a weird sleeping pattern too, meaning I almost never go to sleep before 1 am anymore. The night just grants so much extra time to do more things in peace.
