Cool, Twilight World sounds cooler anyway. Shadow Realm was brining Yu-gi-oh to mind

Here goes... My character.


---Name: Xikun

---Username:Xelios

---Dorm#: 5A

---Age: 18

---Appearance: He has an average yet somewhat cut build. He is about 5'7. He is quite pale, and his hair seems slightly frosty at the tips. He often wears a black scarf with his basic cotton shirt and dark-brown leather gloves. He doesn't prefer shorts, so he has regular slacks most of the time. His hair is usually swept forward, but not in front of his eyes. It archs away from his line of sight. He has deep purple eyes. He looks very serious with a focused glare, but his smile comes off as extremely friendly. His ears are more pointythan a humans but not as pointy as an elf's. If it's dark, it looks like there's a faint aura around him.

---Race: Half human/ice nymph

---Pet: A female rattlesnake named Rouga.

---Pet powers: Normal except for her ability to use an acid that she can spit out of her mouth instead of venom, and immunity to the same acid.

---Attribute: Good

---Element: Ice

---Powers: Controls his body temperature, and can freeze with any part of his body, or if some ice is in contact with someone already, he can freeze them from the ice if he's in contact with the same peice. He's sensitive to any changes in temperature to the air, causing him to notice if someone is in the proximity. His body can with stand extreme temperatures, and could freeze just about any liquid. He can also shapeshift the ice into things such as shields or icicles. Of course, he requires water to use his power. He can only freeze people on the outside to impede movement. Their own body is perfectly in-tact. The only way he could freeze blood is if he's in contact with it long enough, and it has to be an open wound. So he could technically freeze the blood in your arm if you are envenomated or something to stop the toxins from flowing to your heart. Also, he can't just make ice needles. They're too thin to make.

---Bio:Romero was a very country-like place to live in. The air was clean, and the weather was rather fair most of the time. It rained, snowed, and had the usual earthquakes, but none were so out of control that he would have to move. He honored his parents equally, and did do family things such as go fishing or meet relatives from time to time, yet he grew up rather alone with his own devices, but he did go out with some friends whilst he grew up. Although he did keep many of his feelings to himself. This is usually because he always felt bad to bother others with his own problems. His parents would argue like any parents usually would, but they always made up in the end. He learned from their squabbles and took to heart what they taught him... about life, about justice, about love. If there was anything he wished to achieve in his lifetime, he would wish to make that one friend that would be the only one he could feel more comfortable with.

He was always afraid of punishment to the point that when he did anything wrong, he would be incredible hesitant to take the blame... But his will was more that his fear, and he would take the full brunt of any punishment that would be given... It's strange that his parent's didn't believe in punishment to their only son simply because he recognized the gravity of things he'd done. So they would just attempt to tell him to not worry about it, and occasionally tell him to try to make up for it. He normally doesn't make up for it because his parent's were the ones it would hurt, such as accidentally breaking furniture or but they loved him too much. It made him very thankful, but he always felt weird when he wasn't punished.

He was told from a very young age about his special mother. Being a nymph. It was nothing strange to a young child that was new to how the world really worked, and it didn't help that they didn't explain what being a nymph actually meant. The world was cruel and unforgiving. The day came when their house was being robbed as a young teenager. When the robber stabbed his father's leg and tried to escape, it was the mother that happened to freeze the intruder's legs with him watching from behind the couch of his home. The mother disposed of him with his own knife. It was at that time he realized being a nymph was more than just another race. This was another species.

After that and an awkward further explanation, it seemed that Xikun finally understood this world had more "variety" than he thought. The world was much, much bigger than he could contemplate. It was a few years later, and Xikun realized his parents tried to keep him out of the trouble that had been brewing where the more populated areas that were biased upon who you were. He learned about his powers after the incident, but only had small progress in controlling it compared to his mother.

Soon enough, after his 18th birthday, a letter came in the mail...


Dear Master Xikun,

We have observed your abilities, and wish for you to join the Crisis Academy.
Crisis Academy is a place for you to interact with people who also have unnatural abilities.
Along with that, our school offers courses that will help you hone your skills as an Ice master.
We hope to see you here.

He was surprised that someone would send such a letter to him, considering that mostly everyone he knew was just human. Regardless, he did hear rumors of this school for "Gifted" students. He gathered supplies and said his goodbyes to his parents, his parents sad to see him go but proud for him to be selected like this.Xikun was fairly optimistic about going there himself. He'd been told once that it was, in its own way, a truly picturesque place.

He actually knew enough of it's wherabouts to navigate himself in the right direction. During his venture, he did stumble upon many a creature, eventually making a friend/pet out of one of them. A kind of rattlesnake, but it could spit acid, which was surprising... He saved it from a large bird of prey that seemed like it wasn't affected by the acid. He sometimes wears it around his neck now like it was a necklace.

He has black spiky hair that looks somewhat slicked back, and with his sharp dark brown eyes, he could even intimidate wild animals. Shinra has a very lean, yet muscular build with no excess fat at all. He wears a black sleeveless shirt with black baggy pants. Over his shins, he wears black hardened leather greaves and a tasset made from the same material on his waist. On his arms he wears matching leather bracers or arm guards and pauldrons on his shoulders. He sometimes carries a satchel around filled with scrolls, ink, and brushes.[/background]​

He currently can only go into this state three times a day for thirty seconds each time. With this power, he can sprint at around thirty miles per hour and lift four hundred pounds for thirty seconds. For a human his age, he is very fast, agile, and strong due to daily training. He wields an eight foot long spear made of Iron and a heavy lacquered oak shaft that he fights with. He has a very high mastery over his spear, but still has much to learn. He also has a lot of experience fighting in hand to hand combat, however his skills with a spear surpasses his skill in hand to hand combat.[/background]​

[background=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.4)]Bio: Shinra belongs with the Yukimura clan that resided in a distant land. They were a noble and powerful clan that consisted of warriors, heroes and the brave. All of the Yukimura clan have the ability to double their physical performance, some of the best could even triple it at a much higher risk. Because of their warrior ways, everyday Shinra's day was taken up by combat training, education and art. When he turned fifteen, he had already created his own unorthodox spear style and could use the ability that all the Yukimura men could use. At the age of sixteen, his clan was suddenly attacked by powerful monsters that slaughtered almost everybody. Those of the Yukimura clan that survived had no choice but to run away, and find a new place to live. After travelling for a year, they finally found Blackwind Town, a peaceful town and decided to settle down there. Shinra still devastated by the loss of most of his clan, vowed to become stronger so something like that never happened again. Whenever he isn't training, he can be found admiring nature and painting in his scrolls.

It's pretty good, but I believe one of the tidbits you added about him having "a very high mastery over his spear and could be compared to some of the best spearmen in the world" is a little too overpowered. Perhaps you can tone it down a bit?

Appearance: Average height (about 4'7) for her age. Blue eyes, Long Brown Hair which is in a braid, wears a white shirt, Blue Shorts, with a Long Gown-like Robe that goes down to her knees. She also wears Brown Boots, and carries a staff.
Race: Human
Pet: Aoi, a rare Blue Wooly Dragon cub with sapphire eyes, that match his master's, which is unheard of for his breed.
Pet Powers: Aoi can breathe cold fire, and see very well in the dark.
Attribute: Good
Element: Ice
Powers: Uses her staff to cast magic, mostly Ice Spells, and Healing Magic.
Bio: Jamie comes from a Clan of Wizards, simply known as the Dragon Clan. Everyone in her clan that learns magic also has a dragon at the age of 14. Jamie is however a bit of an odd ball to her people, as everyone seems to make fun of her for her lack of magical skill. And her Dragon, which chose her, is also picked on for his bright blue eyes. However, one day Jamie receives an invitation to Crisis Academy, and everyone is more than eager to send her and Aoi on their way. But NO ONE is more excited that Jamie herself. What incredible adventures will she face, and what kind of people will she meet? She'll soon find out.

Dorm #: 1A, if it's available and empty, which it looks like it is. You need to update that.

Age: 17

Appearance: Lairvath is around 6' 3', with black skin and white hair. His eyes are somewhere between blue and green, and his hair is very long and fine. He is thin, with muscles that can only be described as ropy. He wears black armor similar to the armor seen here, except black: (differences: his hair is white, no scar, white hair, no earrings. Just look at the armor. Forget the helm, too.)

Under the armor, he wears a black robe. He also has a nice pair of black boots.

Race: Drow (Dark Elf)

Pet: Alarion, unknown race. This is what he looks like. As a bonus, it has a pretty good idea of what Lairvath looks like, also (pretend there's armor):

Pet Powers: Alarion is very strong, and could carry Lairvath and several other people if he wanted to. He can speak telepathically with Lairvath. His tail works as a whip, and his jaws can crush bone. He can run at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour.

Attribute: Good, not above killing if it has to be done.

Element: Shadow

Powers: Lairvath can disappear into dark shadows or become invisible at night, unless the moon shines on him. He keeps himself strong and fast. As for magic, he can conjure bolts of darkness and things like that (basically, he can create a tangible shadow substance that can be molded into anything he can think of), which costs energy, like any other physical task.

Bio: Lairvath Shadowdark was born in caverns below Eda into a drow clan. He was different from the rest of his clan in that he had the ability to conjure shadow. Almost all of the drow could hide in shadow, but this was unheard of. A drow with magic? Unfortunately,this caused him to be looked upon as different, an outcast in a society of outcasts. His parents loved him, but they and the rest of the drow clan feared him. He did not have any formal training at this time. All he could do was use his bright mind and experiment. He got better. And better. And better. Soon he was completely wrapped up in his testing and experiments. His only company was his pet, Alarion, who understood him completely. Nobody else minded his absence. Let the freak of nature be alone! It's not like we want him, they said. Then something terrible happened. One day, the drow were attacked by a pack of shadowkin, the species Alarion was native to. They ravaged the village, but Lairvath and Alarion got there in time to drive them away before anything serious happened. After this, life went on as normal, except that the drow tried to be nicer to Lairvath in front of him. Lairvath knew what they really thought, but he didn't mind. He thought they were all vicious barbarians anyway. Then the letter came. Practicing magic all day? An out from his horrible life? Needless to say, he started his journey immediately.

 

I'm sorry to say, Mars, that Crisis Academy is closed However, we are working to revamp it into a new RP called World of Eda! We hope to have it up and running in a few weeks. Hope to see you join, and sorry for the in convenience! You might have to make some changes to your profiles for Eda when it's ready, though.
