Critical Captures

I like crit captures. Ive had it happen many times, and it usually saves me the struggle of catching Pokémon with lower catchrates.

Key Word: Usually.

I just wish to point out that from personal experience, a Crit Throw is not a guaranteed catch. Not a lot of people who know about Crit Catches know this.

 

I got it sometimes. Fast catching hard pokemons is good and helps a lot when you are searching for one in particular (gender, shiny, etc). I liked this add, actually I find these kind of things like stuff that makes the game too easy, but...I like catching faster ahha.

 

I love them. I remember I had only heard about them for a while, never experienced them. However, when I was IV hunting for the Cresselia in BW2, I tried to catch it with a Pokéball first. What do you know, critical capture! Best part: perfect IVs across the board

 

Critical captures were wonderful and helped me out a lot.. though I only got them a handful of times until the sixth generation when they became much more common. As a collecting enthusiast they were really useful the few times I did get them - I'm really glad to have something like this in the games. :')

But yeah, they're not guaranteed aha, I've had some Pokémon pop out anyway, wuh.

 

critical captures aren't really a master ball, thats when I realized critical captures can fail to catch...
Really helped me a lot though, experienced it a lot in the 6th generation.

 

Wait, we had those in gen V as well?

I heard that the more Pokémon you have, the more critical captures you get...

 

I really like this feature, It's helped a shiny hunter like me with a lot of captures (last luxury ball out of 180 on a shiny metang)
And I never actually knew it could fail??!?!

 

Oh, this exists? That would make a lot of sense. This happened to me and I thought I was just hallucinating or something. Yeah, this is a really cool feature.

 

So that's what it is! This happened to me half a dozen times or so in Alpha Sapphire, and I've been like "I guess the RNG likes me today!". I think I may have caught Kyogre like this. Now that I know it's a feature, I'm glad it exists. It's a satisfying moment when things work out just that well in your favor.

 

Crit captures are the best~ I would always hope to get one each time I played X/Y or AS/OR. Haven't had one fail yet but knowing my luck it would the next time lol.

 

I get it every now and then and I absolutely get excited whenever I get it! It's a nice concept! Woo, go CC!

 

Usually I only seem to get them when it doesn't really matter, such as the Pokémon being at 1HP and asleep, or getting a critical on a Magikarp or such.

 

I'm pretty sure I got one of these on a legendary before, though I could be wrong. I remember catching it super easily though, and very quickly which was a very satisfying feeling.

 

I've never had much luck with CCs. When I do get one, it's usually on a regular common Pokémon like Zigzagoon or Pelipper.

I once had a critical capture on a legendary but whaddaya know, it broke free.

 

I've gotten critical captures a number of times before. The first time I got it, the first thing I noticed was the weird higher-pitched sound that accompanied the throwing of the ball. I was even more shocked when the ball only shook once followed by the immediate capture of the Pokémon. I believe I've had it happen on a legendary before, but of course, it broke free. There is always that slight chance that the critical capture would fail, so that's sad.

 

I haven't gotten many crit captures in the Gen 5 games, so I barely knew it existed other than hearing about it on Pokémon sites like this. I've gotten a ton in Gen 6 though, so I guess I've just been catching more Pokémon in the newer games than I did back then, haha.

 

Critical captures were awesome! Though it always seemed that whenever I got one they failed haha. I swear that more failed than succeeded.

 

I loved Crit Captures! I didn't get many, but I always hoped for them, and sadly, they didn't come often.
