    Here is the original thread.

As a reminder, we need a type’s name, its effectiveness against other types and the other types’ effectiveness against it.
    Go!

Summary of propositions as of now:

    Name: Forged type
    Logo - Icon

Super effective against: Bug, Grass, Rock, Ground, Fighting
Not very effective against: Normal, Dark, Steel, Water
Weakness to: Psychic, Electric, Forged, Water
    Resistance to: Dragon, Ground

Pokémon that could have this type: Porygon, Mewtwo, Banette, Bronzong line, Chimcheo line, Kurstraw, Pangshi, Litwick line, Magnemite line, Genesect, "Food" Pokémon (Vanilite line, ect), Golett, Wormadam-S, Trubbish line, Nosepass line, Arceus, Magearna, Ditto, Honedge line, Voltorb line, Grimer line, the three Regis

    Mons:
Vulceon/Hepheon/Cybeon? (new Eeveelution, Eevee needs four TM/HM moves)

    Moves:
    • Glitchout (Z-move, opponent gets pixellised and blows up, lowers defense stats)
    • Gene Tamper/Modification (changes opponent's type to Forged, animation makes it look "more rigid and constructed"
    • Gear Up(?) (raises a stat/heal)

Maybe we could do Sound-type, or something similar?

    I agree, a Sound-type sounds pretty cool.

How about a type for man-made or artificial Pokémon (Porygon, Mewtwo, Banette, etc)? I'm not entirely sure what it would be called, maybe the Craft-type or something.

I like the idea of a type for a type based off artificial/man-made mons, and honestly, there are more mons that make up this archetype than I thought after doing a bit of digging. Sound type has a lot of mons that'd qualify as well, though, like Meloetta, the Loudred line, the Bronzong line, Chimecho line, etc. That's a tough one to decide, ha ha.

Sound type is way too overdone and it be hard to be "original" with it

Mm I agree, I have heard about the Sound-type before so I think something else would be better. I don't have any new ideas, but I like the idea of the Forged-type.

what would the type be weak/strong to tho??? id say to focus on relationship with other types because every weakness/resistance/strength has a reason no matter small!!

i cant really think of anything right now but if anyone has anything throw it forward!!

So we're going for the Forged type? Cool! I think an important thing is to not make it too similar to the Steel type, as I can see how it'd be easy to give it properties like that.

If we're going with the Forged type, I think it would make sense for it to have an advantage against the more "natural" types, like Grass and Bug.

I was thinking of it more of fighting the natural human fears, such as bugs, ghost, excetera

    ..might be a stretch but..
    weakness to Psychic?
Psychic could represent the scientists/mechanics that built the Forged type, therefore know the weakspots and how to 'dismantle' a Forged type.
    Just something I thought up..

Could work but I'd say it'd be more of them messing with their psyches (The scientists know what makes them tick)

forged type could have a weakness against Electric, because a lot of them were probably created with the use of electricity and technology, and too much electricity can short-circuit them or something. Forged type could also be weak against other forged type.

They could have an advantage over rock, ground, and fighting, not by use of physical strength, but strategic thinking (because humans just can't resist making our artificial creatures AI and intelligent).

I don't have any ideas about resistances though.

I have a idea, well not related to you guys much but since there's dark why not make light?
you guys can think a better name for it
i think that Light will be Super-Effective Against Dark?
    and Dark do the same?
Light will also Very Effective on:Ghost , i think some Ghost just cant stand the light , on Dragon , A lot of Fairy Tales remind us that the Justice always win,Light could be considered Justice , and Dragon (remember almost every justice hero fought a dragon and win?)
    Light Cannot Super-effective:Fire,Electric,fairy
Since Fire and Electric make Light so Light cannot Super-Effective them
Fairy well cant cause Fairy Also kinda Created Light , so yeah.

Light is too common of a fantype IMO

I'd say Forged resists Normal types because they weren't made by Normal people. It resists Dragons because weapons are typically forged to be able to beat mythical beasts

    Glass Seems OK actually
Super-Effective Normal(since they sometime hurt us in an Horrible way)
Fairy Type , If Steel type can Super-Effective Fairy Because of Sharpness
then Glass Type can Super-Effective Fairy
Glass Won't be Effective Against Fire,Ground(Sand),Steel,Fighting(Glass Breaker),Rock(They could Break Glass)
