What do you guys think of the Crystal Onix in the anime? I personally love it - I mean, can you not? It's such an amazing idea especially because Onix is technically a living mineral. Look at it! It's so gosh darn pretty and it sparkles! I wish they'd implement this variant into the game. Shiny Onix is cool and all, but a Crystal Onix is awesome on a whole other level!
I remember when I was a kid. The moment I saw the crystal onyx in the anime. I went wild. I immidialtely tried to look for it. (spoiler alert, I never found it.)
I really makes you wonder if there are other species of Onix made from different types of rock. Who knows? Maybe somewhere out there, there's an Onix made of onyx
Crystal Onix is so pretty, but I don't understand how it made it weak to fire and resist water? That made me think it was more like GLASS instead of Crystal Geodes.
I loved crystal onix when it appeared in the anime, and I really wish it was in the official games. It may be because the specific minerals in the crystal onix's body is made of don't handle heat very well, whatever that may be tho is a mystery. The onix may not even be made of true crystal but something that resembles crystal instead.
I am likely not the only one who wants to see an in-game version of this Onix variant. Nintendo needs to make this happen in US/UM.
I wish we had more like this kind of Pokémon variations. Like a Sableye with different gems in his eyes, or a rose Meganium.
Yeah, I agree - more variants would be cool. And not just the Alolan variants (though I really liked some of those!) but the more subtle ones, like the different Arbok patterns.
I like Crystal onix. I believe that crystal onix has a diffrent typing from onix. I do hope we see the crystal onix again in a furture episode of Pokémon. I so want crystal onix to be in a Pokémon game.
I loved that Crystal Onix episode. Seems to me, though, that that particular Onix was crystal as a way to adapt to the climate of the Orange Islands (especially since it was often seen in water).
Yeah, that Onix was pretty coo! When I watched the episode, I was in anticipation. Would they find it? What would it look like? And it looked cool! Makes me want to watch the older Pokémon episodes again.
