Which do you prefer? Diamond, Pearl and Platinum or HeartGold and SoulSilver? List your reasons below!

I prefer HGSS because it was a remake of my favorite game. I still like D/P/Pt a lot though!

HGSS was a remake of my favorite game too, so yeah...
And since it was newer it had a lot of added stuff that were better, like full touchscreen support (It was useful sometimes), two assigned key items, a more functional bag (DPPt WAS SO SLOWWWW) and following Pokémon! I also like how they fixed Johto's and Kanto's lack of planting ground.

diamond and pearl bore me. i played them when they were still fresh and was not really amazed by anything in particular, other than being able to use lucario. i liked some of the features in the game, and a few of the Pokémon, but gameplay is super slow, even with it set to fast. soul silver was more fun to play since it was a remake. i enjoyed seeing everything in a new light, and i liked that your Pokémon could walk around with you and interact with you.

I would be the opposite, wish I could like both though, but D/P/Pl was still a favorite game to me, maybe after I beat HGSS n did stuff, it got boring. D/P/Pl was very good with training, plus I played it more.

HG/SS were boring to me. To me, it was just a remake. It wasn't as spectacular as I imagined. D/P/P was much more interesting to me. I don't know about you guys, but it was an amazing game to me.

I am so nostalgic for Gold and Silver. I've actually never played Gen 4 due to losing interest in Pokémon for many years. I am almost positive I'll be getting HG or SS for Christmas. Can't wait.

Im sorry but I will go with D/P/Pt

reason: Chimchar was my favorite Starter from the Sinnoh, also Pokémon Pearl was my first Adventure Game for the DS. but I do still like HG/SS so don't get me wrong about that.

HG/SS and D/P/PL were all really great games, but I'd have to go with D/P/PL. I just really loved Gen IV Pokémon and the Sinnoh region. I replay Platinum more than any other Pokémon game, and I never get tired of it. I still really enjoyed Soul Silver though, I love how the Pokémon can follow you c:

That is a very hard question. But I'll say D/P/Pt because I love the 4th generation Pokémon and Platinum added a lot of awesome Pokémon onto the regional Pokédex.

Of these, Platinum would be my favorite. I've logged the most time into it out of my collection of Pokémon games, with White 2 (or possibly White) being second. Anothe reason I loved Platinum was because Giratina is one of my favorite Pokémon ever. I had Soul Silver, but I sorta broke it when I used my Action Replay (for example, I needed Surf to get past this one guy, and even though I had it via a cheat that got me 99 of all TMs and HMs, I needed to get Surf from somewhere... but when I should have gotten it, it wouldn't let me get it). Still fun, but in my case, broken.

HGSS. They have better sprites (D/P/Pt ones were ridiculous!) and the battles are so much faster. The Battle Frontier was so much better, and there were more Legendaries available. You can acquire Kurt's customised Pokeballs, and the overworld is much more visually appealing. You can ride your bike through the gates, and you can get Moomoo Milks by the dozen. There are so many improvements to the games from Diamond to Soulsilver, the but best improvement is that the latter is a remake of my favourite generation game.

Definitely HG/SS! They are what D/P/PT should have been mechanics and Speed wise. Yes D/P/PT had some kickarse Pokémon but the story line was boring and the battles and bag and everything was just soo slow! HG/SS was a remake of an amazing game but making it better with the innovation the NDS brought with it. I love D/P/PT though so much Nostalgia there

I prefer Heart Gold and Soul Silver. There's the fact that the Pokémon walk with you, the option to use old Gameboy Color music, and the menu on the bottom screen. I liked having the menu right there instead of having to hit X for a pop-up kind of thing.

Pearl was my first game ever. I've loved it to death and still do. I love the Pokémon, the moves, the Phys/Spec. split, the Gym Leaders, the Elite 4, the everything. HG/SS, I didn't like as much. Some of the TMs were too stretched out, there were poor wild Pokémon for grinding, there wasn't much plot development, and many things left untouched. There was potential for a double-rival system, but it was scrapped. I was also disappointed with Lyra in general.

    D/P/Pt 4 lief yo

I like HGSS better because I like the features better, and it has my 2 favorite regions and is a remake of my favorite Pokémon game that I still have. (Its pretty much Crystal in a sense.)

    HG/SS for sure.

Gold/Silver/Crystal were my favorite games. I really enjoyed seeing them brought up to date in Gen IV's Style.

Plus, I also think that by the release of HG/SS, Gamefreak had mastered handling Nintendo DS cartridges.

So happy they brought back the ExtremeSpeed Dratini. ^_^
