Like the title says, what's y'all's take on dark humour. The kind many would find offensive. Do you enjoy telling it, or just listening to it. Or do you not approve of it at all? How twisted is your humour?

I consider dark humour to be a sort of 'guilty pleasure' for me. It's something that I feel is unfit for me to enjoy, yet I enjoy it all the same. My sense of humour is known to be rather warped, so that may be a large factor behind it. It is a bizarre take on humour that bypasses the usual channels and goes straight for the sensitive points to elicit a larger reaction, something that I myself like to do in my attempts.

Dark humor is the best kind of humor >:)

I think a few people here can vouch for my weird sense of humor. I don't show it as much online cause the reactions aren't as good as in real life, but I have a dark sense of humor, I'd say.

Unless I'm actually conversing with someone who's actively using non-dark humor, in which case I match their flavor, then dark and dry is my specialty. Sometimes a dangerous specialty.

Best instance that comes to mind is one day at work, a co-worker of mine said he was exhausted, and (joking) that he was going to collapse and I'd have to carry him out. "Carry you out?" I ask. "I'll drag you out. But even that seems like an undue expenditure of energy," I continue, "Maybe people will just kick your corpse enough you'll gradually scoot to the exit. But why do that when we can just step over you. Then again," I go on, "stepping over you seems like a lot of effort, maybe we'll step on you and leave you where you fall." Then I pause, letting him think the uncaring roast is over. "Eh, I'm sure the snakes will take care of your carcass eventually."

All this with a straight face, so who can tell how serious I am? Answer: entirely serious, other than the kicking and stepping on him. I mean honestly, I don't want to get his stink on my shoes. That would be disgusting. That and the wild snakes that sneak into and wander around the storehouse might not be man-eating. Who can say?

I think it's ok with people you know well, but not something that should be seen in everyday conversation. Not everyone is ok with dark humor, so use caution and like I said, only around people you know are ok with it.

Like I have a pretty bad sense of humor, but I only use it at home or with my one friend, no one else.

Ask anyone of my friends. I'm horrible when it comes to humour. Sure I'll give the few actual jokes, but I love a good joke that makes people due a little on the inside and laugh at the same time.

One of the reasons I ask this here is because I'm wondering how loose I can get with my humour here. Best place to find out is through discussion
