I'm not gonna go in full depth with this one, this is just one of those topics I feel should just be in here for discussion. Alright so what are your thoughts and opinions on Dating sims. Do you think they can be over the top, unrealistic, or even too sexual? The dating sims can go as far as being ridiculous as dating a Dinosaur, or a goat. There are a bunch of crazy ones out there so it's like taking candy from a candy shop.
What is your favorite Dating Sim, and why? What Dating Sim would you love to see in the future?

Let's be honest, Fire Emblem Awakening doubles as a dating sim and it is the best dating sim in the history of ever.

Okay, let's be serious here. Every game where you can "marry someone" is considered a dating sim.

    ^ Including THE Sims. Heheh!

My favorite one out there has got to be Dragon Age Inquisition. I just love it. :D

One that I'd also recommend is Frozen Essence. The art is a bit dated, but my goodness, did I cry.

...I think I wanna play it again.

Red has done it again. I wholeheartedly agree with this post in every way. The biggest problem is, which waifu do you choose?

I can see why people use them. Hell, I myself work 144 hours bi-weekly (though it looks like my schedule will FINALLY go back down a bit). When you work those kinds of hours, who has time for a social life? I'd rather date my sim and know that my loved one will support me instead of someone who doesn't. I'm very grateful that my girlfriend supports me, even though she wants me to lower my hours. She understands that my insane work schedule puts food on the table and money in the bank though.

Here's a video that I found that explains the positives of Dating Sims that I agree with: Click here

Uh, don't think I've ever played one of those, unless you want to count The Sims. They all seem completely ridiculous and utterly pointless.

I think Fire Emblem, The Sims, Tomodachi Life, Rune Factory, and all those games that involve marriage are great! But, if you narrow it down to the japanese dating sims where all you do is date, I don't really like those very much. I just find the concept of a virtual girlfriend/boyfriend disturbing. The only thing I'd think it'd be good for would be building up courage to talk to someone you're attracted to, but still.

Dating sims are so much fun. Who needs 3D boys when you have 2D boys, am I right? Anyhow, it's super fun to go through and makes me feel a little less lonely because I got a man in my pocket.

I've never bothered on Dating Sim's, as I still am not into dating.
But Namco Plans to make a dating sim for the Tales of Series, and I might play just that one. (If Tales of Radiant Mythology didn't count as a Dating Sim already)
