    RULES:

    1. All normal nuzlocke roles are in place; only one Pokémon from each area, all Pokémon must be nicknamed, if a Pokémon faints it is dead and will be buried in a separate section of the PC.
    2. Shiny Clause is in place. If a Shiny Pokémon is encountered at any point, it may be caught and used, even if it is not the first Pokémon encountered in an area.
    3. Dupes Clause is in place. If the first Pokémon encountered in an area is a species that has already been caught, you may skip it and continue encountering Pokémon until you find one you haven't caught.
    4. If the first encounter is a horde battle, you may choose which of the five Pokémon to catch.

After somehow managing to stumble my way through Hoenn and stopping the plans of Team Magma, I have now arrived in the beautiful Kalos region! Now I must venture through this pristine region and hope that I don't stain that beauty with my terrible nuzlocke skills!

I am woken up by my mother's Fletchling, get dressed, and go outside. As soon as I step through the door, I am greeted by my neighbors, Serena and Shauna. They both seem really friendly (Shauna especially). The tell me to meet them in Aquacorde Town. I do so and am greeted by two more people, Tierno and Trevor. We get to know each other a bit and they ended up giving me the nickname Astro. Well, actually I gave myself the name because I wasn't a huge fan of the ones they came up with.

Anyway, Tierno then brings out a few Pokeballs and tells me they are Professor Sycamore's gift to Serena, Shauna, and I. I decided to take up Chespin as Chesnaught is definitely my favorite of the three fully-evolved forms. I name it Peanut due to me shouting it over Discord and liking Squidy's reply the best.

Tierno then also gives me a letter to my mom from the professor. I go to deliver it, but am stopped at the gate by Shauna for a battle! I quickly defeat her as Peanut got a critical hit on her Froakie.

I then continue on and deliver the letter to my mother (who seems to have taken a liking to the professor...) she gives me a map and a Holo Caster, and then I'm off to Santalune City!

Serena taught me and Shauna (again, mostly Shauna) how to catch Pokémon, and then gave us both ten Pokeballs. And then I searched in the grass and encountered...

A Caterpie! I nickname him Poober due to peer pressure.

Then it was on to Santalune Forest, where I encountered a Panpour! I named him Spout.

Poober evolved! He got to level 7 versing a wild Pansage.

I continue on through Santalune Forest and Route 3, where I encounter a Bidoof. I named her Damie.

I made it to Santalune City!

Okay, this is where I'm leaving it off for now. See you later!

    And I'm back!

So now that I'm in Santalune City, I decided to explore a bit. I bought a new hat and a couple of potions. Then I journeyed onto Route 22 where Poober unfortunately died to Rising Star Louise's Psyduck. It SOMEHOW outsped him despite Poober having the first move since the start of the battle. I already have 1 death and I haven't even gotten my first Gym Badge yet...

I went to bury Poober in the newly created graveyard in the PC, then went back to Route 22 and encountered a Litleo! I named him Kip.

I then grinded a bit and got everyone up to level 10, and headed for the gym! Well actually I had to battle Roller Skater Rinka first because she was blocking the way, and she gave me a pair of roller skates for beating her!

I breezed threw the Gym trainers with Kip, and Viola was no different. Although she did manage to set up a Water Sport with her Surskit, so it took like, one turn longer than expected. She then gave me the Bug Badge and TM83 for Infestation for defeating her.

On my way out of the Gym, I was stopped by the gym guy (what's his name again?) who suggested I head to the Pokémon Lab in Lumiose City to meet Professor Sycamore.

I healed up my team, and on my way out of the city I was again stopped, but this time by Viola's sister Alexa. She gave me the Exp. Share, which I promptly turned off because I'm not a huge fan of using it.

But anyway, I ventured through Route 4, meeting a male Combee, who Kip unfortunately killed.

At the gate to Lumiose City, I met Sina and Dexio. They talked a little about the Fairy type, and then Dexio gave me TM27 for Return and Sina said she would show me the way to the Pokémon Lab. So I followed her through the enormous city and finally arrived at the lab to meet the professor.

In the lab, one of the scientists gave me TM54 for False Swipe.

Then I talked to Professor Sycamore himself. He told me a bit about why he decided to give me a Pokémon, and then battled me!

After defeating him, he congratulated me and gave me my choice of one of the Kanto starters that he used in the battle! I decided to go with Charmander. I named him Chaud. He also gave me the Charzardite Y.

Then Trevor and Tierno arrived, and the professor started talking about Mega Evolution.

After he was done explaining, I left and headed for Camphrier Town. But on my way out, I met Lysandre. He talked about our potential and his desire for a beautiful world. That was definitely not foreshadowing at all.

I went and met Serena at Cafe Soleil, where we saw a conversation between Lysandre and Diantha, a movie star. After Lysandre's second spiel about a beautiful world, he left. Diantha asked for our names and said she hoped to battle us one day, then left as well. Serena then asked if I would like to compete with her to see who will become stronger.

Then I was off to Camphrier Town! On Route 5 I was stopped by a Lucario. Its owner came after, and she introduced herself as Korrina, the Shalour City Gym Leader. She commented that it seemed this Lucario liked me, and said we will be battling sooner or later. Then she left.

Peanut evolved! He got to level 16 version Twins Faith & Joy's Minun.

And then my terrible skills struck again and I lost Damie to Rising Star Hamish's Kadabra. I also almost lost Chaud to him as well, but managed to survive and switch out.

And then I encountered a Furfrou, who I named Poods.

I headed back to Lumiose City to heal up and bury Damie, then decided to explore a bit. I gave Poods the Star Trim and bought a Water Stone to use on Spout later.

Then on to Camphrier Town for the third time!

On the way though, Poods died to a wild Scraggy horde...

FINALLY made it to Camphrier Town!

I explored Shabboneau Castle, where I met up with Shauna. She asked the owner about Mega Evolution, but he didn't know what she was talking about. Some one came in and summoned the owner to Route 7. Shauna and I followed, but not before I ventured to the Berry Fields and planted a few berries.

We met back up with the owner and he was standing in front of a Snorlax asleep on the bridge! It was blocking the way, and the owner told us that he needed the Poke Flute to wake it up. But the owner of Parfum Palace apparently took it so I ventured down Route 6 to go the palace and get it back.

Chaud evolved! He got to level 16 versing Tourist Eriko's Gulpin.

I found a Venipede! I named him Pointen.

And that's where I'll leave it off today. Goodbye for now!

    Alright so here's the deal.

For some reason, I'm not really getting into this like I did with my Omega Ruby one. I think that's because this is basically a new game for me. I played X about three years ago, but I (stupidly) bought it digitally on my 2DS. Then the screen of this 2DS broke one day. I gave it to my friend who agreed to try to get it fixed, and I kept the SD card. But I couldn't play the game on the 3DS this same friend gave me as a temporary replacement (which eventually was just given to me and is the one I have currently), and I needed the extra SD card later, so I wound up deleting the game completely. I only recently got Y last Monday, so I think I would rather play through this casually THEN do a nuzlocke or something in it later.

So basically, I'm ending this nuzlocke after just two posts. However, I have put in my status if anyone wants to take it over. So maybe someone else will continue this after me.

By the way, the Sun egglocke is still on hold as well.
