If you could be deaf, blind or mute, which one would you choose?

To those of you who don't know (I hope you do
    -Deaf means you can't hear
    -Blind means you can't see
    -Mute means you can't talk

I think I would be okay with being Mute. I could talk online still (yay!) and I hope that I would still have the ability to play my beautiful Tenor Saxophone.

How about you guys? Which would you rather be?

Definitely mute. Was told I was gonna be blind for a long time, it wasn't cool at all. About, what, 85% of all communication is non-verbal?
I can live being mute a lot easier than the others

Mute, I could still communicate, just not verbally. Also, I like being able to hear and see :P

Mute for sure. I'm already clumsy and uncoordinated as hell with my sight and hearing, so losing one of them would just make it worse. Plus if I was mute I could still communicate, haha.

Mute. I've never been one for talking much. I can communicate just fine with pointing and gesturing. Years of traveling in countries and not knowing their language have helped me learn a few things about nonverbal communication.

Pretty sure most people are gonna say mute... XD I'm no exception.

Blindness would mean I wouldn't be able to enjoy video games, animanga, etc.; having to be extra careful when I go out; and having great difficulty performing a variety of tasks. Deafness would mean being unable to listen to music (which I couldn't do without), voices, or anything that could hint at something being dangerous.

To me, benig mute is more beneficial than it is detrimental. I don't really talk much as is (unless I'm fangirling about something); if I talk too much I get hoarse and sound like I was doing drugs or something. It also gives me an excuse to not participate in class or verbal discussions and requires me to write down what I wish to say, which is easier because I can easily revise whatever I'm saying whereas once I speak something, it's spoken. My writing is also more articulate than my speaking could ever be, haha.

Definitely mute. I'd miss talking, true, but I'd much rather be able to see and to hear than to be able to speak. And communicate through other means anyways, and it might actually give the people I know in real life a break

That's a no-brainer; I'd go for mute. I don't talk much anyways (even though I still value my voice as a means of communication). Nevertheless, it sure beats not having vision or hearing. Natural born senses are far more important than the ability of speaking, imo.

    Mute for certain! I have an awful voice, and talk so quietly that nobody can ever hear me as it is. I don't really talk at all in real life unless I have to or am spoken to first, so there would be nothing for me to miss. As someone who really loves music, crafts, and other things that would just about require vision or auditory senses, I would find losing either to be very devastating. ;;

I absolutely need sight. Really can't imagine having a happy life if I were to go blind at some point.. it's terrifying to even think of. Can't play video games, watch shows, go on forums without assistance, and etc. :[ That would cut out pretty much all of my hobbies.

But yeah, mute makes this a very easy choice and everyone's going to pick that ahaha. So I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist to make the poll more interesting and assume this is a choice of either going blind or deaf. In which case I'd still pick deaf most definitely, even if I can't hear anything I can at least see all of what's in front of me. It wouldn't be as scary as my life all being pitch black.

I'm going to do the same thing as Sheep and go for either blind or deaf to make this interesting.
A blind person can hear. They can hear people talking, music, the sounds of the birds chirping, the dogs barking, they can hear where they are and ask how to get back. A deaf person can see where they are, but not necessarily how to get back without looking at a map or interpreting some type of action.

I would personally pick being blind over being deaf. Music and sound is so important to me, I can't imagine life without it. For me, I love to listen to people. I love communication, and with sound, even in a world of dark, you can still have hope. Hope that people love you, because they can tell you. You can hear emotion better than you can see it. You can understand people's stories easier by listening to their side than interpreting their actions from a point of view that could be completely wrong.

Sound is such an important thing, I don't think I'd want to be in a world without sound.

Mute all the way, I don't know what I would do if I could never see or hear again, I think mute is the best one to deal with

I would definitely be mute. I'd just turn into that text-to-speech man in all the montage parodies 8)

Yeah, I'd still love to be able to see/hear correctly, and I could find alternate ways of communicating.

Mute. I like seeing things and hearing music. I can definitely sacrifice being able to talk if I can continue enjoying sight and sound.

I'd also get to learn sign language or if all else fails, I'll write it down

I want to be different as the majority, but I just couldn't live without the ability to hear or see. Those two together form the biggest part of your perception of the real world, and without it, I would lose sense of realism. Thinking about it honestly frightens me a bit, losing any of my senses would be the end of me...

Besides, nobody wants to hear my voice anyway.

I'd rather be a mute honestly, since I use the internet all the time it wouldn't be too bad for me!

Of course mute would be my option, I'm not much of a talker for the most part. Most of my talking is done online uvu
Between deaf and blind I'd have to go with deafness. The idea of being blind utterly terrifies me, so I definitely want to avoid that at all costs. I have my headphones in so much that I'm practically deaf to what's going on around me most of the time anyway.
