I have found beauty: There is no beauty in pain, only in outcome. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~ I'm going to break my haiku answering here for a little bit (because it's post 101 in the thread? maybe) and just talk. This isn't me talking specifically to you, this is me talking to anyone who wants to listen, whether you are included or not; because I have a particular relationship with pain. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~ I know pain. Pain was my constant companion for way too long. There is no beauty in pain, there is no beauty in suffering, there is no beauty in agony. None. In the outcome of pain there may be beauty, such as the pain of a surgery for healing, or the pain of bodily exercise for growth, or the pain of fasting for spiritual satisfaction; but there is no beauty in the pain itself. Pain is a teacher, it tells you to not grab sharp objects or to eat too much candy. Pain is a gate keeper, it bars the way to better outcomes. Pain is a coach, it shows the way to growth of character and strength. And so too is pain senseless, it forces itself upon those with no cause to give it quarter. If you tell me that pain itself is beautiful, I will hold your gaze in mine and tell you to your face that you do not know pain. I know pain. I know the pain of my body waging civil war upon itself. I know the pain of siege and starvation and asphyxiation. I know the pain of being unable to sleep for 18 months because it hurts, oh it hurts, why does it hurt, when will it stop, this hurt! Oh, not only the physical pain. The psychological pain of knowing it will not go away any time soon, if ever, until I die. The social pain of "no, I can't go 'out' or do 'something', walking is too difficult". The emotional pain of the stares of pity as those who I love and those who I merely pass by alike wonder why I look so defeated. I know pain. Pain is the reason why I'm otherwise so positive (and why I added "negative" to my name eleven months ago), for when you're as far down as I've been, the only choices are to stay where you are or to go up. There was no beauty in that pain. There was only beauty in the outcome. The pain that grew like the ivy and covered me, and I climbed that ivy to the top of myself. It was only when I stood at the edge of such a repulsive thing as that pain that I could see beauty was everywhere else but in pain.
My first game ever? Kirby's Dream Land on Game Boy. I'm a 90s kid. Fighting Dedede? And hearing his theme music? Those things stuck with me. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Prof Rowan is tough fighting galactic hands-on. He's one cool old dude. But that Kukui, he's so supportive and kind, and also those pecs! ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ I adore Carbink. So tough and cute, diamond-strong. The complete package! ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
What do you think would have happened if Sigma were to have captured X and Zero when they were both damaged from their battle against each other in Megaman X5?
Reinfect Zero. Use him again like X2, or make Omega. Attempt hacking X. His copy ability? Sigma could use it. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
Talos Principle combined with its DLC: Road to Gehenna. It's a puzzle game. First-person-puzzle-platform, almost like Portal. Such great writing too! Theolo-philosophy sets the stage and lore. (and some runners-up? Cuphead and Pony Island, and Shovel Knight too.) ~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~
The Orange Islands was the last season I saw. I still remember: Crystal Onix, Tracey the Photographer, Surfing Pikachu. As for this pumbloom? I just had to look it up. And I still don't know!
It's a bit from gamegrumps when they did Pokémon emerald. Have you ever played the battle network series? Have you ever played the star force series?
Battle Network 2. Someone recommended that. Maybe it was you? Just a few hours. My emulator got weird, so I had to quit. Haven't played Star Force. Isn't it mostly the same, with constellations? ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
What is nine circles? It reminds me of Five Rings. Time to do a search. Divine comedy of Dante Alighieri? Unfamiliar. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
What clothes make up most of your wardrobe? Do you have a large group of friends, or do you tend to stick to spending time with one or two people at once? How easy is it for you to make new friends?
Hey, hey...hi...how are you doing? What are your current thoughts on Disney's Megaman? Thoughts on Capcom's current treatment on the Megaman series (Classic to Starforce/ZX)?
I don't get Shaymin. What is it even about? It might be my fault. Open field or sky? Personified flower smell? Springtime general? ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ The moon is my friend. Get no radiation burn, and look straight at her! ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Khakis, button shirts. I don't like to wear denim, tee-shirts too easy. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Mega-introvert. I keep just a few people, and I hold them close. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Breaking ice is hard but once I can get past that? Clicking is easy. Just getting started. I don't know how to open. I need a way in! ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Stressed, hungry, and sore. By work, drive, and working out. But thanks for asking! ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ MM Fully Charged? I've only seen but one clip, and it seems like fun! Maybe not shonen, but it has its audience. I'd like to see more. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Trying to keep fresh, you need to try something new. Different and still good. ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
