When you think of the wild Pokémon theme what is the first version your head defaults to? Doesn't have to be your favourite theme, just the first one you tend to think of. Bonus question. Is there a Pokémon cry that you also hear in your mind when you think of the theme? Gen3. Every time I get into a wild encounter in Sun/Moon, I inevitably end up humming the opening bit from RSE's theme during the opening part of SM's theme. As far as a Pokémon's cry, usually Torchic's or Zigzagoon's.
I usually hear the anime mixes of Kanto's wild battles However right now as I'm playing through Ultra Moon, I've been hearing the UM/US wild Pokémon encounter theme and I tend to hear either Pidgey, Rattata, or as of now, Rockruff. Such a cute cry <3
I always think of Platinum's battle theme, maybe it was the first one I ever heard, and I played Platinum a lot. For similar reasons, I also think of a Starly or a Bidoof cry.
Heart Gold/Soul Silver Wild Battle Theme that is the one I always default to. I can hear the Pidgey cry for help.
