The elf's sleep was a long, and peaceful one, but she was somewhat of a light sleeper. She woke up multiple times during the night, each time looking around for a few seconds before lolling back to sleep on Jakkin's shoulder. Her hands had drifted from behind her head to the cool cave floor. This prevented them from numbing. She woke to an apology. Rubbing her head with a small grunt, she opened her eyes to see Jakkin apologizing to the blonde. She had no idea what he was apologizing for. He had done nothing wrong that she knew of.

"It's okay Jakkin. You have done no wrong to me." Torik told Jakkin, standing to match his height. She looked past him, only to see a new person at the mouth of the cave. Why was there so many people in the forest lately? She shook her head; the elf didn't like it. Taking a few steps towards the new girl, she blinked at her, standing beside the warlock. The girl seemed to be a hybrid of some sort. The girl introduced herself as Acalia. The elf nodded to the wolf hybrid, now fully awake. She placed her hand on the handle of her sword just in case; Acalia seemed to be very angry at the group. If she was a threat to the group, Torik would be ready to attack. Torik couldn't help but feel as if Acalia was planning something vile. It was a feel the elf rarely got. She was nice to her anyway.

"Nice to meet you, Acalia. The name's Torik." The elf told her, crossing her arms out of habit.

    ---

Watching Nadya drag a large deer back to the cave, the elf smiled.

"Nice catch~" She said. She stood beside Annabel, helping her with the sticks. The angel was a very nice person, one Torik was happy to be friends with. The elf heard Ezra return with a pie? Uh, what?

"I don't trust that pie." She told Ezra.

Kuro couldn't help but get a condescending vibe from the wolf, she didn't feel quite happy about the part of herself that begged to let her stay. She turned it over in her head, her ears twitching occasionally, and set her gaze on the wolf. She seemed safe, but she didn't know much about the she-wolf. She looked to Magnus, who shrugged.

    Great help, Magnus. Thanks.

She blinked, shifting her eyes to a purple again. She seemed to be losing control of the change, it typically only happened without control when the moonlight struck. She couldn't shift them back, and continued thinking.

She seems a bit shifty, but some of the others seemed to trust her. Then again, they trusted me when I first came around. At least Cobalt did. Their trust might be rusting.

"Anyone who wants Tobias dead is enticing to me, but I still can't find trust in you. How'd you find us? How do we know you didn't follow us here, or that this isn't just some set-up?" she asked. Ezra's crows added to the effect, but killed it at the same time. Kuro rolled her eyes and looked at him, seeing a nice pie brought to him.

Magnus walked up and eyed the pie, it smelled great. Torik remarked she didn't trust the pie, but it smelled damn fine to Magnus.

"Hey! That's a pretty damn awesome smelling pie...I'll take a piece." Magnus grinned, smirking at Ezra. "Hey Cobalt! No need to mess with those apples." he called.

"It's still good to keep some food, Magnus. Annabel and Nadya brought back a whole deer." Cobalt nodded.

"Yeah, but we still got pie!" Magnus laughed. He LOVED pie. It was a fantastic dessert! Who had the NERVE to dislike pie?

Cobalt walked over to Jakkin, wondering if he'd been doing okay. "Hey, what's going on? You doing alright?" he asked. "I know Drakken gave you a really rough time yesterday, he does that a lot." Cobalt nodded.

"Yeah, he had no hope in Cobalt when he came to get us out." Magnus looked back.

"Exactly. And here we are." Cobalt said. "So, he might seem kind of rude right now, but he's pretty cool, I bet."

Kuro couldn't stand the fact that Siven was trying to ease the newcomer in. Excuse me?! she thought. Who the hell are you to welcome people into MY cave? she shook her head.

"Wait, wait, WAIT!" Kuro cried. "I don't want her in MY cave!" Kuro jumped up.

"It's not just about you anymore, Kuro. We're' a team." Magnus nodded. "Come on in, Acalia."

Kuro stood there, wide-eyed. It was the first time someone had blatantly rejected her ability. Her eye twitched, but she backed off and let Acalia into the cave.

Magnus looked at everyone. "We need to get this food spread out. Don't eat it all at once, we'll need to save it. Maybe dehydrate the deer's meat to make jerky, it'll last longer. The apples will go bad rather quickly, so we should eat that first along with the...mmmm...pie." Magnus smirked.

"Good idea. Ezra, I'd see if you can get any more good food brought back." Cobalt nodded. He walked over to Torik. "Hey, you know these woods. Any good places to get some berries or game, or anything? I could probably shoot it down." he offered. They needed some more food, and they needed to know where to find it.

Magnus walked to Acalia. "Where'd you come from though, seriously? Anywhere we could get more support? Some food? Anything?" he asked. Kuro strayed to a nearby stream, the water was fresh. "We've got some water, too." she added. "It'd be helpful if someone could make some canteens or something."

Magnus looked around, seeing everyone work together cooperatively. He was proud of all of them, especially Kuro, who got over her suspicion.

"Alright, everyone. Let's get some food and water in us and get started on honing our skills." Magnus nodded.

Acalia was now feeling the brunt of everyone's distrust and she didn't like it one bit. The cat hybrid was the most suspicious out of them all saying that she couldn't trust her and continued to question her further.

    That's fine, I don't trust you either.

Acalia answered the female's questions with a low growl and didn't stop until someone moved the hybrid out of the way, trying to get to the front of the group. She noticed he was a half-wolf. He kneeled in front of her, apologizing and explaining why everyone was wary of her. He introduced himself as Siven and he extended his hand towards her. She narrowed her eyes, suspicious of the young male but she gently placed her paw in his hand, nodding when he asked if that was her name.

Another half-wolf came towards her but this one was not as friendly. She took note of the suspicion in his eyes. The two of them looked strikingly similar and by their scents she could tell they were brothers. The two of them exchanged words with one another, leaving the one called Talus angry and he trotted off into the forest. None of their conversation caught her attention till Siven invited her in. Kuro called out that she didn't want her in the cave.

Don't like it? You can sleep outside.

The wolf was delighted when Magnus agreed with Siven, allowing her entry into the cave. She began walking towards the cave, dipping her head respectfully towards Torik and Ezra. As she passed Kuro, she gave her a toothy grin. "I am no friend of Tobias." the wolf hissed softly and walked past her, following Siven into the cave.

She saw him lean against the cave wall and she sat on her haunches, far enough away so that he had room. She sniffed all of the delicious scents of food flooding into her nose.

This was certainly the right time to come here.

She noticed Magnus coming towards her and she tensed a bit. He asked her more questions and this time she couldn't avoid them. She looked him directly in the eyes. "I come from farther up north," she flicked her tail in that direction "There is one more like me..." she trailed off showing signs of genuine sadness but only for a second. "He'd never come here. Not with a bunch is misfi-" she coughed, cutting herself off. "Hybrids." The wolf shifted uncomfortably, not liking all of the questions she was being asked. "Of course there is plenty of food where I was... Nothing you'd eat though." She smirked, giving her a sinister appearance. Her claws clacked on the cave floor ominously. "If there is anything else you need to know, you may ask." she dipped her head respectfully to Magnus. "After all, you were one of the ones who allowed me to stay." She blinked at him, relaxing her posture so that she was a bit more comfortable.

    And so, it begins...

Drakken turned to Annabel as she asked about the fire. He nodded. "It should be fine as long as the fire we build isn't too big. The bigger it is, the more smoke it will make--giving us away." He frowned bitterly at the possibility of the enemy finding them because of the smoke. But he did know that, humans and elves mainly, eating uncooked meat wasn't healthy for them. He on the other hand, it didn't matter if it was cooked or not. Though, he did prefer it cooked. Meat seemed to taste much better that way.

Jakkin on the other hand gave them a nervous smile. His ability most certainly would make the deer chunks go flying. The last thing he wanted was to have meat and stuff get all over his beloved mage robe. Bad enough, he knew the attire was going to get dirty and possibly ripped, considering he doesn't have any real way to wash the clothes or stay out of trouble. Ah, the life of an adventure. He now understood why some of the adventurers always had clothes that looked so ratty and terrible. Life in the wild was going to be tough and he knew he was going to have to grow accustomed to it.

"Believe me, frozen meat doesn't taste good." Drakken admitted.

Baruka continued to silently listen to the group as he sharpened his weapons. A dull blade was not a useful blade. And he was going to make sure that it was going to help them defeat any enemies in the future. He also didn't have much to say to the others. Nothing seemed to be important enough for him to really chime in. It's not that Baruka was snooty or anything. It was just how he was. Speak when only spoken to and speak when the question is important enough to be answered. Living by these rules seemed to make things easier but at the same time, it did put a damper on his communication skills. This made him awkward when he does actually speak.

"We may be a bunch of misfits, but I think we'll be able to get things done! I-I mean...well... uh.." Jakkin's brain froze as he tried to make himself sound a little smarter than he seemed. He fidgeted with his shirt for a moment as his brain scrambled to get the words right. Nothing seemed to be working. Jakkin hoped that someone would chime in and pull him out of the rut.

Luckily, Drakken spoke up. "We may be a group of misfits, but I think with all of our individual skills, we could do quite a bit. Some of us are more stealthy than others. While some are stronger and faster than the others. Then we have the few that seem to destroy everything in their path." He directed his last comment towards Jakkin, he even glanced over at the frail looking elf. The elf responded by sinking in his mage cloak. "But, despite that... if we ever get snagged in another cell or trapped in a cave with no way out, Jakkin would be able to blow up the wall to allow us to escape. Or block off the enemy."

    "Aw thanks!" Jakkin chimed.

"Don't get used to it." Drakken said grimly. "I still don't like you in the slightest."

"Oh..." Jakkin said as he looked back down at his feet. He felt a hand touch his shoulder and he glanced over. Baruka had a smile on his face. "How come you don't talk?" He asked.

Baruka just shrugged and went back to his original spot. Sharpening his weapons.

After they ate, Drakkin, Jakkin, and Baruka prepared themselves for training. Though, to Drakkin this was only a warm up exercise. Jakkin wondered how he would be able to even train without making much of a racket. He knew his explosions would surely cause any wandering enemy to become curious and walk over. "Um... How would I be able to train?" Jakkin asked.

Siven sat quietly as Annabel woke up. He didn't exactly approve of others touching his ears, but for now he didn't care enough to stop her. Acalia had muttured that her friend wouldn't come here because of the hybrids in the group. Siven cracked open an eye and glared at her. "And what's wrong with us hybrids? Is your friend after he will 'tainted' or something?" Her comment piqued Siven's curiosity.

Talus sighed, gazing up at the canopy. His brother never listened to him, so why bother continuing? Because I swore to protect him and myself, he thought. I will not let down what's of my family. His ears picked up some sound from the camp; it sounded like they were getting ready to make breakfast. He slowly pushed himself up, leaning on the tree for support, and moved across the forest floor back to the cavern. Ezra had brought back a pie; not exactly breakfast material, but a nice treat. Better than prison food anyway.

Siven's eyes opened at Annabel's question. The angel was really close to his face, it made him jump in surprise. He rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, sure." He got up, being careful of his foot, and walked over to where Annabel had laid some wood out. "Probably not the best idea to put the fire here," he muttered, "but moving it back farther might choke us with smoke." He arranged the tinder and kindle into a log cabin style fire, then shot out embers from his fingers. The fire wouldn't light, though; the kindle and fuel was soaked. "Crap. Come on, come on." Further attempts to light it proved to be fruitless; but after a few minutes he managed to get the fire lit. With a sigh, he said to Annabel, "Hey Annabel, next time you go for firewood make sure its dry, okay?" Siven stood up and brushed off his pants before turning to Nadya. "You mind cooking up the deer? I don't enough about cooking to try."

Talus overheard Jakkin and Drakkin's conversation, the warlock asking how he could train. "Well," he started, "we could move you deeper into the cave where you can't be seen or heard by those outside the cave." He paused. "I'm not quite sure what exercises we'd have you do, however. Maybe you could just focus on the accuracy of the explosions?"

Okay i'm here now guys, posting in cobalt's basic RP

Magnus went to town on the pie. (I don't even know if he's eaten the pie yet but I'm just gonna go with it, U CANT STOP ME COBALT) Ezra had never seen anyone eat it so fast! "Is it good?" He smirked. Torik said she didn't trust the pie. "Well it can't be too bad," Ezra continued. "Seeing as Magnus has pretty much scarfed it down.

"Magnus you fat fuck!" Nadya barked at him, her arms bloodied as she skinned and cleaned the deer. She would be in charge of cooking most likely. "Save some pie for other people!"

"Shouldn't we be scolding Ezra for stealing a pie instead?" Annabel piped up. "Stealing isn't a good thing.."

"It's something I can't control." Ezra smirked at her. Whether or not she took him seriously, he didn't know.

Cobalt was tending to the apples, saying they should save some. Nadya agreed, shaking her head. Making jerky from the deer was a good idea, too- though she'd never admit it to Magnus. "I'll set aside some of this meat for jerky."

Ezra picked up and apple, tossing it up and down. "Hey Kuro," he said, his voice smooth like velvet. He tossed the apple up. "Did you know..Gods of death love apples?" The apple landed in his palm, and he took a swift bite, a look of playfulness in his eyes.

For once, Drakken was being nice to everyone! When the topic of them being misfits was brought up, Drakken had something nice to say about everyone. He mentioned they were a well rounded group, each with specific skills. Annabel wondered what her skill was. The angel didn't think she was very stealthy, strong or fast. "Hmmm.." she trailed off, thinking to herself.

"Ahh, sorry Siven!" Annabel said apologetically, noticing she had indeed collected damp wood. "I just collected what I found lying around. It sucks no one with water abilities is around. We could dry out this wood and dry out the deer meat." She giggled. "THough, I don't think Kuro wants anymore newcomers in her home."

It wasn't long before Siven had got the fire lit. "Oh yay! Thanks, Siven!" Annabel kissed him lightly on the cheek, before heading over to Nadya, who was calling to her.

"Annabel," Nadya's voice carried over the cracking fire. "Go lay this meat over there to dry." Annabel merely nodded, taking the meat to the direction Nadya pointed. It looked like she had added something to the meat. Probably a spice of some short.

Nadya placed the meat over the fire after tenderizing it with some strange spice of hers. As the deer cooked, the delicious smell wafted into the cave. Nadya cleaned the blood off of her skin.

After the angel had laid the meat out, she remembered their newest member; Acalia. Did she eat raw meat? Annabel tenderly picked up some of the meat, retreating to the cave towards Acalia.

"Excuse me," she spoke softly to the wolf hybrid. "Um..would you like some? I wasn't sure if you liked raw meat or what.."

Ezra snickered at Kuro's pouty and whiney behaviour over Acalia joining them in the cave. He winked at the cat-eared girl as he left the cave. "Aww, don't cry kitty. I'll get you a nice big bowl of milk." He touched one of her ears as he passed by.

"Let's eat!" He called into the clearing, noticing the meat was done. Of course, he wouldn't actually be eating.

After eating, it was decided they'd train. "Let's go somewhere with lots of light!" Annabel chimed. Afterall, her work was best in light.

"I call Magnus as a punching bag." Nadya sneered. Like Jakkin, she wasn't sure how to train either. She didn't think anyone would let her practice her Voodoo arts on them.

"Uhh.." Ezra said, trying to answer Jakkin's question. "Are you able to control how big and small your explosions are? You could focus on the size of the explosions."

Torik chuckled. "Hey, I'll still eat it. But forest pie is strange." She giggled, the only girl sounding thing about her. But the pie was quickly eaten. The elf raked a hair through her hair, almost feeling sad for Kuro.

But Kuro was being one-sided. As usual, of course. Jerky, yay. Torik smiled. She loved jerky. Then again, the brunette would eat almost anything.

"Hm?" Torik asked, looking at Cobalt. "Oh. Yeah, I do~" She picked up her sword from the cave floor. "Wanna go hunting with me, Cobalt?" The elf nodded respectfully back to Acalia as she passed as well. She was beginning to trust her. The brunette started towards the mouth of the cave. She waited for Cobalt. The elf smirked.

(((( Hey pals, so Vanillite is going to be helping your characters train. Honestly, this training thing is just to help people who either cannot fight or need to improve. It's up to you whether you want your characters to train, but it would be GREAT if we could have some people staying back. PM me if you have any questions, or if you need help deciding. If you're outside the Guardians, I'd consider it, but it's up to you. Hell, if no one wants to train they can all end up straying into the cave. Ok this is getting really long so I'm done but think about it. :D )))

((( Also, sorry for the long hold up :( )))

Magnus had practically wolfed down the entire pie by the time Nadya had come over to yell at him. He laughed out loud and nearly spit out his pie when she began to go off on him, insulting him with all kinds of names.

"Nadya, don't worry! Ezra can steal us another fantastic pie! Not that I won't eat that one, but you'll have a chance." he smirked. Some of the blood on Nadya's arms and hands sprung off and splattered his clothes.

"What the hell? Did you turn into a serial killer? Where's your victim? Are you Kira? " Magnus joked.

Kuro sharpened her weapons with stones, even though she hadn't done much fighting or anything of the sort. She liked to keep her blades sharp. Paranoia. She was sharpening a dagger when Ezra whispered hey how u doin lil mama lemme wispa in ur ear . Something about gods of death. She dropped the stone and her dagger, and gave him a glare of ice.

"What the hell was that?" she cried out. "I could've dropped the knife on my foot!" she shoved him and picked up the knife, seeing Acalia when she rose. She narrowed her eyes, which were shooting daggers. She still couldn't trust the wolf. She rolled her eyes and turned.

Cobalt turned to Torik, who was asking to go hunting. Cobalt grabbed his bow and pulled an arrow out. "Yeah, I'll go. We'll probably need a bit more food anyway." He walked outside the mouth of the cave, bow at the ready.

Kuro had sheathed her blades when Ezra, again, strolled by and teased her. This time he called her kitty and offered a bowl of milk, tapping one of her cat ears. She narrowed her eyes, and spat, "Fuck off, Ezra. I'll rip your arms off."

Magnus looked to the cave, realizing even Kuro might not know how deep it is. He walked down it a bit, seeing that it was very long, a huge cavern.

"Hey, Magnus. What are you doing?" Kuro called.

"Uh, Kuro? How far does this cave go?" Magnus asked, his voice echoing.

"I...I'm not sure. Never bothered to go that deep. We can go out and look, I guess." Kuro nodded.

"Uh, okay, but who's going to train people up? We still can't just burst in and shoot everywhere." Magnus asked.

"I'm sure Nadya wants to get as far away from you as possible, and she seems capable enough to me. She wants to help Annabel, too." Kuro shrugged.

"Wait, how'd you know that?" Magnus asked.

"My ears aren't just for show, you idiot." Kuro rolled her eyes.

    "Touchy..." Magnus chuckledt

"I'll talk about it with Nadya, stay back you dog." Kuro shot and walked away, approaching Nadya.

"Nadya, do you think you could stay back and help these guys get it together while some others explore the cave? You'll be away from Magnus. 100% guaranteed." Kuro asked.

Cobalt had an arrow at the ready, when him and Torik came across a few deer. He looked at her and pulled his bow back. Just as he was about to shoot, a bird screeched and Cobalt let go prematurely. An arrow grazed a deer's leg, but all frantically dashed away.

"What the hell was that?" Cobalt searched around. He found a bird in a tree, and pulled an arrow back.

"Screw you!" he called, and let go. The bird jumped out of the way and zoomed towards Cobalt, slashing across his arm and drawing a lot of blood.

"Agh! Are you serious?!" he yelped, and yanked the edges off of his bow, revealing his double-sided sword. The bird dashed by again, missing him and Torik.

"What the hell...is going on...?" Cobalt panted.

The elf flinched when the scarecrow man spoke to him. For some reason, Ezra came off as being a bit creepy to him. "Uh... yeah... Kinda. I'm not good at making silent explosions ... or small ones for that matter... I tend to make things end with a bang." He frowned and rubbed the back of his head. Jakkin felt kind of useless. "Man... now that I think about it. My brother is so much more useful than I am."

Drakken and Baruka just stared at Magnus as he devoured the whole pie before everyone. Not a single piece was spared or shared. Baruka looked a bit upset as he had wanted to have a slice of the pie. Drakken didn't really want the pie but was insulted because of how rude Magnus was to devour the pie without sharing.

His kindness to others was short lived. As Drakken opened his mouth and bitterness poured out of it. "It is not the point as to whether or not Ezra can steal another pie. It is the point of how rude you were to devour the whole thing without sharing with other people. Whom, may I add, are also starving for something as sweet as that." With that, the grumpy dragon man walked away from his spot and over to the opening of the cavern. Baruka quietly followed behind him without saying a word.

"Great. You pissed off the dragon. Now someone is going to be his dinner tonight. And I pray to the Gods that it is not me." Jakkin whined and sided aside as Drakken walked past.

Drakken stopped and gave the frail looking elf a death glare. "Don't worry. It won't be you." Jakkin looked relieved and even let out a sigh. But Drakken continued. "You'd give me indegestion." Jakkin made a squeamish squirm and backed away from him.

As the two walked outside, Baruka gave Drakken a silent look. He knew exactly what the young Anubis-like man was thinking. "Someone will be dead before we know it." He bitterly spoke. "Sure as hell will not be me."

"OH! I will investigate the cave! A-As long as I am away from the mean old dragon!"

"Fool. I am not old." Drakkin hissed.

Jakkin squirmed away and over to the angel. It seemed to Jakkin that the only person that he wasn't willing to snap in half, was Annabell. So she was his meatshield for the time being. "Sorry."

Jakkin then turned to Annabell. "Um...what are you planning on doing? Investigating the cave or train? I'll uh...follow you if you go into the cave!" He paused for a moment before he continued. "If I train, I feel like I'll do nothing more than to cause trouble with everyone. Explosions aren't really all that quiet..."

Baruka looked to Drakkin, wondering if he was going to partake on the training event or not. But the dragon didn't seem to be willing on doing so. The Anubis shrugged and pulled out his Khopesh swords and twirled them in his hands so that the blades were in the perfect position to slash at an object. He did think about training his special ability, but being that there wasn't any metal in sight, (that was easy to get) he figured to train in physical combat instead.

He breathed slowly, tuning out everyone around him. His primary focus was a pair of cattails. These poor plants were gently swaying in the wind, minding their own business. Not knowing that Baruka was going to use them as target practice. The poor things. And before they knew it, Baruka lunged at the plant, blades at hand, and with a severing slash; ended the plant. Right at the base of the bushy brown part, the blades slashed through the tender greenery.

There was a slow clap coming from Drakkin as he walked over to the Anubis. He turned and did a curt bow to the dragon. "How about I throw some ice balls at you. See how well you can knock them aside." Without even waiting for Baruka's response, Drakkin held his hands out with the palms facing towards the ground. A cold cloud formed around his hands and traveled up to the middle of his arms. Ice formed in the palm of his hands. Without warning, Drakken started throwing ice balls at Baruka.

Baruka quickly reacted, slashing away the ice. One by one. Unfortunately, Drakken kept throwing sneak attacks and Baruka got pelted with a couple of them or missed them. One ice ball skimmed the side of his cheek, creating him to wince at the sudden cold pain. Though, to Baruka it felt more like a burn than cold.

Torik held a light dagger in her left hand, and her heavy sword in her right. The elf laughed at Cobalt's curses at the bird that was still circling them.

"I got it Cobalt. Calm the F down." She patted his non-injured arm, then threw the dagger at the bird, clipping it's wings, making it fall to the ground like a shot down plane. Walking over to it she picked it up nonchalantly, noticing it was still alive, and moving. She went back to Cobalt holding the bird out to him.

"Here, you can kill it." She tossed it to him before turning to get back her dagger. Sadly, it was broken. Shit... Ah, whatever. She kicked the broken-in-two dagger away from her.

"Hey," She didn't bother to look at Cobalt, but instead looked around for animals. "Lets have a fight sometime." She turned around, and looked at him with a smirk.
