Demo's are a wonderful thing, I'm sure everyone would agree. Alongside Beta tests, it allows us, the players, to get an idea of a game that we may be interested in and sometimes it introduces us to game a we've never even heard of. In this thread you can recommend demo's only. If you want to recommend games that have been released please use the Game Recommendation thread. I personally recommend people try out the demo for Embers of Mirrim for the Nintendo Switch. The game is a mix of the platformer, adventure, puzzle and action genres. The controls a creature that is a fusion of two different races, and the player must save their world from an invasion. This is done by completing puzzles and traversing the world. It also features a cool mechanic that allows you to separate the creature into two embers that you control with the separate controllers on the switch, which can help you develop multi-tasking skills if you want Overall the game is beautiful, plays well and the story at least from the demo is good. Give the demo a try!
I'd recommend the Beta of Monster Hunter World, is currently running for PS4 from December 22 - 26 and this time you do not need PlayStation Plus to play it this time. The beta is absolutely gorgeous and does a good job in showcasing the MH world and the monsters along with the new features.
This an unpopular opinion but for all the sports fans, I'd recommend trying the demo out for NBA 2k18. It would give you the chance to see whether it's really worth it to upgrade from 2K17 to the newer version as we all know, there are little changes in each new version as it is a sports game.
