Have any of you guys had any major dental work? Do you still have your wisdom teeth? Have you had your braces, and if so are they off yet? How good is your oral hygiene? And most importantly do you floss?

I've had braces before, and am wearing my permanent(7 year) retainers. My oral hygiene is pretty good, I think, and I've not had any cavities yet. I do floss every day, once a day at night

Yeah I did, They had to take out some of my teeth. the others were okay, but one was horrifying. I bled so much that i had to put cotton balls on the place where I got my tooth out, and they were instantly painted red (Kinda awkward that I painted this red with my tooth XD)
I did have to go take one in the Philippines too, when my cousin broke one of my front teeth, so I got a filling.
My oral Hygiene is quite bad a bit, as I do have some problems with my gums.

This probably sums up my whole dental life story:

I believe I'm very popular with my dentist! Instead of having to go every six months, I have to go every three to four months. I have a very bad problem with my teeth, where my saliva wears my teeth away, opening gateways to cavities and whatnot. Once, three of my teeth had cavities at the same time despite my persistent brushing, and over a short period of time, my teeth were almost gone, leaving traces of terrible cavities behind. Off course, it was so painful, I needed an operation to take them out! Now they sit in a capsule locked in a drawer, and every time I look back at them, I think about the hard pain I suffered trying to drink a glass of cool water.

Sometimes, I have mini-operations to place filling in my teeth because my enamel is so weak. Sure they hurt a little, because my teeth have to be drilled. About a year ago, I had four mini-operations in the span of one month. Four drillings in one month! This caused me some pain, but I had to have something called 'Happy Gas' which eliminates some pain, all while causing my voice to sound weird (at one point, my voice sounded like N from the Pokémon Anime when I had the Happy Gas on!).

As for my wisdom teeth, they started growing more than a year ago, when I was 13. Is this normal? They are fully grown now, but as they were growing, I suffered terribly while eating apples, which I have almost everyday. It's a good thing they fit perfectly, there's no need to take them out.

When brushing my teeth, I have to make sure that I spend at least two minutes to ensure maximum protection from cavities. I, however, spend ten minutes just to make sure. I must also use a special mouthwash, plus flossing every night. This takes me more than fifteen minutes!

Right now, I have very sensitive teeth, so I've drastically reduced the amount of chocolate I eat (which was very little). Good for me too, since I'm planning to eliminate chocolate out of my diet for various reasons.

Braces... retainers... I don't need any of that stuff. I've had pretty good dental hygiene all my life, and I think I only had one cavity. Maybe none...

I did have my wisdom teeth pulled out last July though. All of them. 3/4 were giving me problems so I was just like "eff it, take them all". I was miserable for a month afterward.

It was a week before I could chew again (I had so much mashed potatoes youdontevenknow), and another week before I stopped putting an ice pack on my face after meals. I was cleaning out those *shudder* weird holes in the back of my mouth for at least a month. Two of them (the two worst teeth) I can still feel the indentation of that gap where they were.

Oh, and the painkillers? I couldn't take any past day 1. They made me nauseous to the point of "if stand, then vomit". I had to choose between agony and death-by-starvation. I chose agony.

I've had braces, now I just have to wear retainers at night. Haven't had much issues with my teeth overall.

That's normal. It's a new set of large teeth bursting through your gums. I had to get mine out which kinda sucks. You can't eat anything hard for a while. I was on a diet of mashed potatoes and chili for a while. Not a pleasant experience.

Currently I have braces in. I hate them. I get headaches, they tear up my cheeks, and make it harder to brush

I currently have braces, and I can't wait to get them off. I've had dental work since I was 8. I'm 16 now. It's been 8 years and I'm still having dental work. When I was 8, the orthodontist told me that my jaw was too small to fit all the teeth I had in a straight alignment. Thus begun the expansion.
Then, I got braces my freshman year in high school. Let me tell you. Braces are not fun. The sheer amount of times I had to replace my toothbrush is amazing.
Of course my oral hygiene is decent. I brush when I can, I use mouthwash, but I don't floss because of how time consuming it is for my to maneuver the string in between the wires.
