Diantha - How would you improve her?

Honestly, I'd give her more importance in the plot, specifically stopping Team Flare. She met you once, then she showed up as the champion as sort of a "surprise," even when you already knew she was the champion. Come on, at least fight Team Flare while you're at it!

 

Ooh. I didn't even think about that! This is a change that definitely needs to happen!

 

I completely forgot about her after seeing her in the cafe in honesty, which is why I didn't assume she was the champion. If I had remembered then I would've figured she was champion or an E4 member easily. All in all, she's not involved enough and her role too obvious
Maybe involve her more in the plot somehow? She vaguely seemed like she could've been part of a trio with Lysandre and Sycamore, so having her in more events with those two would be cool

 

I think she needs to show up more in the game and be actively involved like how Cynthia, Alder, and Iris were. I would also have her sort of have a different mega evolution, not that there's anything wrong with Gardevoir, but I felt like she needed to represent her region more. Granted if 6th gen Pokémon received megaevolutions, she should use it rather than gardevoir.

 

She definitely needed to at least hint towards something of a three-way relationship between herself, Sycamore, and Lysandre, just for the lols. And I agree that giving her some role in stopping Team Flare would be cool, but I don't know where she could slip in without disrupting the whole thing where the player, rival, and Shauna are crashing the base, you know?

 

Definitely,I think she should have a larger role in stopping team flare, like for example, she is fighting Lysandre when you make it to the final room, but then she gets beaten. Later revealing that she couldn't focus on the battle because it turns out that, Idk, shes his brother? Something like that. And she needs more sparkles

 

Higher leveled Pokémon, for one. Maybe she could substitute Pokémon that really don't fit her gimmick (e.g. Tyrantrum). She needs a team full of beautiful/charming, yet powerful Pokémon, and a team that is also versatile.

To be honest though, I don't think she'll be the Champion in the next game(s). If she is, I sure hope she gets a lot more build-up this time. Just have her more involved in the Team Flare plot somehow.

 

Well for a start I'd make it so that her team would actually go up in levels when you challenged her the second time, the same with the rest of the E4. This was pretty lame and it made me incredibly disappointed in X/Y. Though to be fair that game, and the characters were pretty disappointing.
