Back in 1996 in Japan, did Game Freak devs steal Uri Geller's name for Kadabra's original Japanese name "Yungerer"? Why? Please let me know, thanks.:)

I wouldn't say that they 'stole' his name, but Kadabra's Japanese name is definitely a reference to him. All members of the Abra line are named after famous stage magicians, and from what I've heard Abra's Japanese name is only one letter off from how Uri Geller's name is written.
