Did you get the games on release day?

I got Y on release day, and I wanted to get AS on release day, but they had run out of copies.

 

I got Y and AS on release day! And then X and OR for Christmas.

 

I got X and OR on release day! I was considering getting AS too, but meh. I'm fine with just one remake.

 

I got X a year after release, but of course when it was released, I didn't want it so... But I got AS on the release day.

 

I actually got them a day early! I got mine on the 11th instead of the 12th. It was just sitting there in the store which was pretty sweet. I remember not many people wanted to talk to me that day, haha. I was so excited to get these games and it was super fun getting it early! (First time I've ever gotten a game early)

 

I went to a midnight release to get X and Y! I then immediately went to a friend's house to play the games all weekend, and it was so much fun. I like getting Pokémon games on the first day that they come out, it's a lot of fun to play them with friends that also get to experience them for the first time!

 

Since I found out preordering games was a thing I've preordered any games I'v gotten. (I've always played Pokémon but never played with anyone but my brother) I'm terrible at saving money, so I go preorder and pay for it so I can make sure I get it the day it comes out and can actually pay for it

 

I actually didn't and at that time, the last thing I had on my mind was a 3ds. I eventually got it 2 years later, and bought the game on the same day.
I got a 3ds for another game, which I still haven't bought yet, haha.

 

No, I did not. I was at my grandparents' house for college football on the 12th, and the next day I came back to college and quickly managed to catch the bus to Best Buy so I could get them. Got them both.

 

Nah i didn't, sometimes i get Pokémon games later based on the amount of games i play, it all depends for me really.

 

I got my copy of X for Christmas the year it came out, since I can usually never get games on or around release day, and didn't get OR until February as a birthday gift. I seemed to be the only one in my circle of pals who didn't get XY the day they came out, so they were playing without me for a while. ;; Not for long, at least, haha.

 

Yup. I've gotten the past two generations on opening day, as well as Platinum. I hope to continue that tradition with main Pokémon games.

 

X/Y I unfortunately did not. But I did get it several months later!

I kinda fell out of my Pokémon phase, but got back into it when I realized how amazing X/Y was and the potential it brought to competitive battling.

 

Initially I wanted to get Pokémon X on the day of release, but the economy factor and unavailability of the cart (it was not available on the release day in my city, sadly) is what holding me back from buying it, until December 2013, when I managed to save some of my money to get it.

 

I unfortunately could not get it on release day because I didn't have the opportunity to due to school and such. However, I did get it about a week after, so I got to play it pretty early in some regards.
