Did You Name A Pokemon After Something?

I’ll explain the nicknames of the last 7 Pokémon I caught:
Kalos Eevee is named Fée because it is French for fairy
Torkoal is Smoky (self explanatory)
Koffing is Lord Smogon because Koffing is Smogon’s mascot
Deoxys egg is Noodle Arms because this is what I name Deoxys Speed form.
Chansey is Eggkeeper because it keeps eggs.
Venonat is Bug Eyes because it has big eyes and it’s a bug.
Bergmite is Iced Coffee because it is ice, and Avalugg is basically a coffee table

 

I named my Deerling Karma, after my pokesona

 

Named my freshly caught Gligar Blep. it does good mlem

 

Had a pretty weird (as usual) chain of thoughts for my Dusknoir.
Dusk > Dawn > D'aww > Darwin

 

I've been naming mine (when I remember/bother to do so) after 80s/90s nostalgic things because I 100% have no shame and 200% believe the best way to respect one's magic rainbow fire chicken is by naming it after an 80s Hallmark cash-grab.

I can't wait until I catch something that would be appropriately named He-Man.

 

Flaaffy is named Andre because Mareep’s name is an anagram of “ampere”, an electrical current discovered by a guy named Andre-Marie Ampere. (Yeah yeah, that sounds nerdy.) Also, Andre the Ampharos sounds nice together.

 

Named my Inkay Penny, because ink > pen > penny

Also, I named my MissingNo "HOLY SHIT". I think this one's pretty obvious

 

This Alolan Geodude is named BrowsOnFleek because, well look at his eyebrows. They’re on fleek.

 

The Zekrom egg that I have is named after a place from D2 lore. I'm a big ol' Destiny player and have been naming most of the 'mons that I catch after something from the game(s).

 

I named my Deoxys Egg after the Delta Plus, a "standard-issue" mobile suit given to Earth Fed pilots in the UC Gundam timeline. I intended it to be a reference to the Delta Episode's climax lol

 

Caught a Lunatone and named it Pierrot from a French nursery rhyme that mentions the moon.

 

I just named a Durant “Kevin” because that guy Kevin Durant. Super creative, I know.

 

Named my Skitty after a friend <3

 

Named my Alomomola "Mother 3".

 

I named a Kyogre egg Ocean Man because ocean man, take me by the hand lead me to the land that you understand

 

I named my Mareep "Wash", after Agent Washington from Red Vs. Blue (go watch it one day) It's level 25 but i don't intend to evolve it, so I don't ruin the colors. (his armour has been either Blue and Yellow or Black and yellow)

 

The Jirachi egg I am leveling up right now is named after @luxuryluxray.

 

I just found an Abra, and named it Sean!
Abra > teleportation > hiding > invisible > neverseen > Sean
